[Android] Rearrange Tracks inside a Playlist

On my iPod I can manually move my songs around that are in my playlist, but I can't do the same on my phone which is what I mostly use. It would be easier to have that option on all devices.

Hey!

The Spotify Community team here.

We're pleased to confirm that this feature should now be available to all Android users.
We'd recommend double-checking that you're running the latest version of Spotify.

Once again, thanks for showing your support here in the Community.

Here we go again. Another update, it looks all different but this option is still not there.

I was just about to say the same, new menu bar at the bottom yet no way to
rearrange tracks.

I think maybe this is not the proper channel, can we try on tweeter where
all the followers can be aware of this? 🙂

Going there...

I already asked @SpotifyCares but they just passed the info and don't know
nothing more. I asked on Hacker News but it didn't get enough traction. I
think getting this viral and give them some well deserved shame and
ridicule is our only option left.

I pester them on Twitter (@SpotifyCares) every few weeks. They always say they'll pass it on. Let's all keep doing that, it's better than nothing! 🙂

SUCCESS! Just kidding. I see iOS users are more valuable than Android users. iOS has this, why not Android!

Yeah the iOS app has had this for a long time. And yet Spotify still think that the only reason worth their consideration for adding this to the Android app is if this feature request gets the most votes. As opposed to, you know, not having a media app that lacks fundamental media app functionality.

I think I'll make a meme for this @devadevi. 🙂 Better chances to get it viral.

So, let me get this straight. Since releasing the Android app, you have had time to do multiple UI overhauls, but not enough time to add a basic feature that I've been told the iPhone app already has? This is poor prioritization through and through. I constantly find myself wanting to rearrange a playlist while away from my computer and am reminded at the incompetence level of those making the decisions in your organization. This isn't a nice to have feature. It isn't an advanced feature. It's a basic, should have been there in the first iteration feature. As a software developer, I'm ashamed for you. Get it together, people!
