[Android] Rearrange Tracks inside a Playlist

On my iPod I can manually move my songs around that are in my playlist, but I can't do the same on my phone which is what I mostly use. It would be easier to have that option on all devices.

Hey!

The Spotify Community team here.

We're pleased to confirm that this feature should now be available to all Android users.
We'd recommend double-checking that you're running the latest version of Spotify.

Once again, thanks for showing your support here in the Community.

You must be joking... With all these complaints you still won't add the feature? And what's up with buddy above me in the comments getting censored for saying what, iTunes?

I pay for this service and you can't have a basic feature like this on the android app? Sad guys really sad and pathetic. Not impressed.

Been a dedicated Spotify user for a long time now, but seeing updates like this which clearly signal Android users as secondary make it more and more tempting to switch streaming services.

Lots of us are posting angrily here but I don't get much of a sense of ongoing engagement in this micro-community, such as it is. There are very few replies, only new angry comments. It's now very obvious that this thread (or the 1,300 or so votes attached to it) carries no weight whatsoever, so posting here without doing anything else is just screaming into the void. We need to try a new approach. A couple of us have tweeted to CEO Daniel Ek to politely but firmly point out that this feature omission reflects very badly on them. So can I respectfully suggest that anyone wanting to post about their frustration here also tweet their disatisfaction to Daniek Ek and include a link to their tweet in their comment here so that the rest of us can help to increase its impact by liking and/or retweeting it? And could I also ask that anyone following this thread take the time to like/retweet any tweets that others have taken the trouble to send? Thank you.

Addendum to the above:

  • We've tried tweeting to SpotifyCares and it's evident they are completely impotent; by all means copy them in but they seem to notice what's being tweeted at Ek anyway
  • Daniel Ek's Twitter handle is eldsjal
  • Here's a repost of my own tweets

@EldsjalWould be great to see rearrange songs in a play list on Android. Spotify has the best organizer tools on desktop. Mobile please 😌

What I just posted on Twitter to Mr. Ek. Here is the link. Please like.

Did someone get censored for saying Apple ?

aramando

Nobody got censored, they did it themselves.

I agree to you. But not only the songs within a playlist. Also the paylists as well and the playlists folders!

That would be nice. Its all possible at the desktop player, why not in the most used android app?

This isn't just a good idea; its basic functionality of making playlists.  I'm a yoga teacher, and I need to songs to play in a certain order.  It seems a little crazy that people with iphones can do this, but I can't.  I have an old laptop that I only use to make playlists, but that won't last forever.

You may have the android market for awhile, but if you don't fix this, we will go somewhere else.  It feels like you don't care, and I subscribe to your service.  This is a simple idea-just do it.

EricInWisconsin

I agree with Katie16. This is basic functionality and it should be provided to its customers.

I looked at how many paid users Spotify has. 60 million is the current number. That means, at $9.99 per month (which may be skewed due to family memberships), Spotify brings in about $600 Million dollars a month, or over $7 billion each year.

Spotify, can you not find the resources to make this "good idea" happen? What is the real reason?
