[Android] Rearrange Tracks inside a Playlist

On my iPod I can manually move my songs around that are in my playlist, but I can't do the same on my phone which is what I mostly use. It would be easier to have that option on all devices.

Hey!

The Spotify Community team here.

We're pleased to confirm that this feature should now be available to all Android users.
We'd recommend double-checking that you're running the latest version of Spotify.

Once again, thanks for showing your support here in the Community.

If we can do it on the desktop and in the queue, it shouldnt be hard to do it from within a playlist in Android. Please consider this in the pipeline soon, it will greatly enhance our experience plus eliminate my need for a desktop app.

CaptainDubious

The best part for me is that I can't use the desktop app (don't have Windows or Mac, and the unsupported/unofficial Linux version doesn't work at all). I use the web player on my desktop, but that doesn't support reordering playlists either. So I can't do it at all, making Spotify playlists close to useless.

Please? I don't have anything to say. Everyone likes this feature.

##- Yeah, that all sounds good, Isvillacis, IF YOU HAVE A FRACKING PC. But
for exclusive Android uses (Chromebook & pixel in my case) this just isn't
suitable. -##

I think Amazon's music app does this. 😛

CaptainDubious

LOL, of course it does. Every music player software ever released, including Winamp 1.0 in 1997, does this. Except Spotify.

@Groggster and @CaptainDubious that's wrong... Spotify actually does this, but only in the Play Queue, not in the playlist itself (try it, add some songs to the queue and you'll see you can reorder them 🙂

So that's the worst part, its not about "I don't know how to do that in Android" it's a "I don't want/care to do that in Android" policy.

However, as some Spotify forum helper (which doesnt answer personal emails btw) said, keep voting! Perhaps at 100,000 votes it will be considered, off course by that time music will be inserted right on the brain through an implanted chip and hopefully Spotify will no longer exists 🙂

It's not just a good idea, it's basic service.

You can't be serious! This is a basic function of listening to music! A playlist is meant to be altered and perfected so that the listening experience is optimized for the user (at the very least for a paying user). This failure to satisfy customers is just as asinine if not worse than your lack of response to the thousands of requests to be able to see users who follow your playlists. **bleep** is going on in the development offices? Why are the users ignored so very much? Help us understand with a reasonable answer. Please! It's the least you can do.
