[Android] Rearrange Tracks inside a Playlist

On my iPod I can manually move my songs around that are in my playlist, but I can't do the same on my phone which is what I mostly use. It would be easier to have that option on all devices.

Hey!

The Spotify Community team here.

We're pleased to confirm that this feature should now be available to all Android users.
We'd recommend double-checking that you're running the latest version of Spotify.

Once again, thanks for showing your support here in the Community.

@mikeanywhere Exactly! Please add this comment on Android Central and reddit, it has almost no use here other than confirm what we already know.

If this is going to be fixed it will be probably after SP is exposed for such a fail... get it? 🙂

Come on do something about this, it is such a simple feature to implement. This is unexcusable. You are leaving users behind for no reason at all. If this is a feature in offered in other platform you should replicate the same experience across all diferent platforms. Makes me wonder if there's any interest behind this decision.

Well, this is over for me, I'm too tired of spotify and having a hard time in my playlist. I moved to deezer and I'm more than happy now. Finaly I can edit, arange my playlist which is more than a basic feature to have for a music app and a music app you pay for !!!!!

enough was enough !!!!

EarlPurple

when I tried deezer I couldn't even play a playlist never mind rearrange it. It kept playing songs based on the playlist, not the playlist itself. Or would play one of them at random, not play them in order.

@EarlPurple That's weird, I don't have any problems playing or reordering playlists. Are you sure you had a premium subscription?

I remember hearing from my Android friend that this is not possible... I couldn't believe it.  She doesn't have a computer either so she's SOL.

Spotify give Android some love!

I can't believe this has been around for so long and it still hasn't been addressed...kind of a core feature of any music player is to be able to sort songs within a playlist...

I know it must be hard on your tight budgets to add an edit button to your android app, with only 9.99 per month from several million users. Edit button prices are sky high nowadays! And as for drag and drop function, wow, crazy expensive. I feel for you guys!

Being a paying subscriber and coming from the Google Music ecosysystem, it's really disappointing that you do not include this basic function in the android app; to me, it just fells discriminating and also given that the potential android market is bigger than ios, it just feels stupid.

EarlPurple

@TedGrassman No I was trying it out as an alternative to Spotify.

It was also so I could listen to the playlist without spotify "connecting" all my other devices to it.

Given I couldn't do a basic feature on Deezer I didn't sign up to it.
