[Android] Rearrange Tracks inside a Playlist

On my iPod I can manually move my songs around that are in my playlist, but I can't do the same on my phone which is what I mostly use. It would be easier to have that option on all devices.

Hey!

The Spotify Community team here.

We're pleased to confirm that this feature should now be available to all Android users.
We'd recommend double-checking that you're running the latest version of Spotify.

Once again, thanks for showing your support here in the Community.

Let's be honest. They could do this if they let their people do it. I'm sure they've actively told people not to. It's that basic.

You have got to be kidding!

How is this not top priority. WHY SHOULD I PAY FOR "PREMIUM" THEN??!

Going to be canceling my subscription now that I'm on an android device. Hopefully the decision makers wise up or a new app with swoop in and save us from our money grubbing overloards JUST LIKE SPOTIFY DID when it was the new kid on the block.

Great to see 4 years and 90 pages of comments have passed and this is still "in the pipeline". It is a fundamental feature of premium considering I listen 95% on my phone.

It has to be some technology barrier that is causing this issue for Android as it is available on iOS - would love for Spotify to be transparent and tell us what is causing it? Can the userbase help?

Honestly, with tools that allow me to import my playlists I've spent years creating (which is the only emotional tie I have to Spotify) from Spotify to Google Plus Music (free youtube red too!)

The value proposition isn't really there anymore for me.

Sincerely, ex-Spotify user.

This seems like a pretty basic function that should be in your "pipeline"... why should I have to boot up my PC just to push a few songs around? With the abilities of current smartphones some folks use mobile as their primary computer outside of work. I like spotify (premium user for nearly two years, I think?), but this kind of stuff makes it hard to sell you guys to google and apple friends.

That app stopped working.

I added the track on Spotify and the app didn't see it.

I then added it on the app and moved it (with difficulty because the app puts a + sign in totally the wrong place, it's almost certainly the last track I want to drag) but Spotify couldn't see it there, only where it had added it originally.

Looks like the app took a cache of my playlists and ignored the change.

It's not hard at all, and it's available on mobile, just on iOS ! Not in
Android 🙂

Please bring this in! Why is android behind iPhone ?? More people have android.

This is so retarded it's almost funny, if it wasn't totally shitty for the user. Can't rearrange songs on the go when partying. Bye Spotify

This has been circling for years. And still..

There are beta updates at least 4-5 times a week via APK Mirror website. So far improvements in app's responsiveness. That's good.

Added two features I can see, 1. Voice Search 🔎2. Exclude Explicit songs 🎶 in settings. The wait for this one has been about as long as the wait for rearrange songs. So I'm hopeful! In the meantime, I use a third party app to reareange songs. Convenient? Nope! Should this basic feature be on Android by now? Yep! All other music services have their Android apps to organize play lists the way you like it, Google Play and Amazon for starters. Again hopeful. 😏
