[Android] Rearrange Tracks inside a Playlist

On my iPod I can manually move my songs around that are in my playlist, but I can't do the same on my phone which is what I mostly use. It would be easier to have that option on all devices.

Hey!

The Spotify Community team here.

We're pleased to confirm that this feature should now be available to all Android users.
We'd recommend double-checking that you're running the latest version of Spotify.

Once again, thanks for showing your support here in the Community.

Why can't you put a 're-order track' feature on playlists?
Seems like it would be one of the most obvious features that users would go for and expect!
Spotify is such a great platform, but are you employing UX designers to ensure you're meeting users expectations?

In my comment just now about re-ordering tracks, I meant from the 'Songs' folder.  (I am able to re-order tracks from my 'Playlists')

The Songs folder is where I add all my new music and so it is my main 'playlist' that I play daily.

But I can't re-order tracks from within this Songs list!

It looks great 🙂 Thanks!! 🙂

Spotify is far too quick to "connect" when you're playing music but continues to ignore playlist changes made elsewhere, something that in my opinion is essential. To get that tool to work required me to hard-kill the apps on my Android to force a reload. That was a necessity when a certain tool calling itself Playlist Converter gave me "Never Can Say Goodbye" by the Jackson 5 when I had requested "Maybe Tomorrow". It's mostly a useful tool but has a habit of doing that on occasion. I wanted Maybe Tomorrow in the location where I had put it, not at the end of the list. I'm a bit fussy about that. If Spotify gave me a "replace with a different track" option that would solve all the problems.

June 2018 and still waiting for something that will not happen...

Let's pretend it happened today, what they will say? "Finally after 4 years of not doing it we finally did it, it took so long because neither of the Android developers knew it was written in Java, they were trying to acomplish that using Javascript, sorry!"

Seriously, **bleep** you Spotify! you can do better... stop adding stupid features and get the basic job done!

you guys are probably pretty embarrassed about this obvious oversight in your software, so i'm glad for your sakes you've decided to finally add this extremely basic playlist functionality! thanks in advance!

They didn't decided to add it... my quoted phrase should said [SARCASM MODE ON]

I just though funny/poor excuses for the developers justifying not to do that after all this years:

- They think Javascript is the same as Java

- They though Android is some kind of unknown mobile operating systems used by +85% of the entire mobile market share, therefore part of the rest of the world that don't use iOS

- They forget how to define a sortable list interfase (this will allow his employers to forget to pay his salaries too)

Do you think of other reasons?

Just subscribed and was shocked this feature isn't available.  Dumbest thing ever.  May cancel my subscription out of principle.

how on earth is this not possible yet??
