[Android] Rearrange Tracks inside a Playlist

On my iPod I can manually move my songs around that are in my playlist, but I can't do the same on my phone which is what I mostly use. It would be easier to have that option on all devices.

It seems not.
Ive given up contacting them though, and made a blog post outlining this issue and in particular how people in this thread have tried to resolve it.

Can't be bothered to add a basic feature but implements a UI overhaul nobody asked for. Do I need or want my now playing screen to go fullscreen? No. Did I want the times removed? No.  Did I want a play button where you can't tell if its playing or paused? No.

Is this still on the to do list? You can do this in Google music and in many other apps. I need to rearrange a playlist right now, which is why I searched for this, and it stinks that I have to go back to my PC to do it!

Its not even in the to-do list because they don't even know it has to be done! Some parts of Spotify knows that this feature is missing, but the people in charge of development don't have this change in his plans.

I'm truly waiting this company dissapears and a new a proactive one takes his place 🙂

Well, I just went back to having an iPhone because Android was pissing me off for other reasons, and this was one of them.  So now I dont have to worry about this problem anymore 🙂

Seriously. This is a basic basic basic feature.  Why do iPhone users get it but not Android users?  Clearly you have the capacity to implement it.  Do you have some sort of side deal with Apple?  Sorry, not switching to the over-priced iPhone.

Seriously Spotify, how this still isn't a feature boggles my mind. I've wanted this for as long as I've used your service. I know for a fact that somebody already coded the ability to rearrange the play queue, so for the love of music, get somebody to add an option in the playlist menu that puts the playlist in an "edit" mode that let's the user move songs just like in the queue and has a "done" button for when they're finished. I know app design is much harder than project I've worked on, but this seriously can't be that big of feature to implement.

How many votes and complaints will make Spotify a actually care as opposed to 'condescending pat on the head we hear you'd care. 😡 so far I'm unimpressed

Such garbage. 3.5 years of complaints. I guarantee every single Android Spotify user in history has been just as frustrated and confused as the rest of us. It took me half a year to even find this thread to complain, myself. What a basic necessity for a music streaming app that is completely overlooked. Meanwhile, they're adding lyrics and driving features. But we can't even rearrange songs in a "custom" Playlist or even the Playlists themselves. SO **** PRIMITIVE. I feel like I'm 10 years behind in technology. Why are ANY of us still using this terrible app!?!?
