[Android] Rearrange Tracks inside a Playlist

On my iPod I can manually move my songs around that are in my playlist, but I can't do the same on my phone which is what I mostly use. It would be easier to have that option on all devices.

I've tweeted with them multiple times about this and my tweet to the CEO
just got routed through them for us to have the same template "We'll pass
along your idea to the developers!" type convo that goes nowhere.

It is there support email as well and you just get a canned response. Thanks for the suggestion we will forward on. Tweeting the CEO, in a respectful, professional manner may draw more attention, though likely to be monitored by other people.

This has been an issue and feature request for over 3 years now!

Absurd that after years of requests, our annual update in 2017 is that we still shouldn't expect it "any time soon".

The best way to deal with this is to stop using a "premium" app without basic features. Stop giving them your money!!!!!!

• Spotify is big and somewhere I read about to go public. Would take a mass exodus of customers to get their attention. They really don't seem to care about existing customers as they do about getting new subscribers. Too bad. And it shows.

We agreed that something should be done, but most of us will continue using the service because we love music, the app works very well except for this nonsense of not being able to reorder songs inside a playlist, so... what can we do?

Tweet to SP CEO, vote this "idea", keep posting messages here, make it the most active thread. Whatever the reason they dont fix that it doesnt care: is it that they dont know? yes they do... we have tweets that proves it, they dont want to fix it? probably... but anyway what can we do? if its marketng strategies so you must use Apple products then it will not be changed because of a few dozens of angry users 🙂

I think is a so so serious fault that no one wants now take the blame for it. When you release software there should be Q&A teams devoted to fin those things: it plays a song? it shows the proper tag? it can be muted? it seeks through the whole song? it lest you reorder songs inside a playlist? erh... lets go launch and we'll see that later... about many years later 🙂

Can you imagine the actual developer team head saying "Oopsss we missed that!" I'll fired the one on that position almost immediatly, looks at the salary for that position and youll understand that such errors cant happen (look in this thread, I've published how much they earn)

So, what can we do?... are you ready to leave SP despite all you love it and use it? Perhaps some will say "yes, **bleep** off SP!" but in no way this will be a huge massive number to change any decision at SP to fix it.

Are you ready to wait? Because this will take a long long way more time. Its not even in the near future or event in beta stage because the dev team is not planning on fixing what they dont know (or want to admit) its broken 🙂

Also, SP please stop posting that you are aware of it because updating the "status" of this "idea" is plain ridiculous, this it NOT and idea, this is called BASIC functionality.

It's obvious that ***** is paying spotify to keep this feature off android so they have that edge over them 🤔
