[Android] Swipe to Queue a Track

Firstly let me say I have been using Spotify since it launched here in the US and have seen a lot of great improvements over the years. Great job!

I am a music listener who likes to let the current track play out before starting a new one.
I love what you have done on the iOS side with swipe to queue.

Can you show Android some love and put this story in your backlog? 🙂

Considering this has been open since 2015, don't have much hope for the swipe to queue feature.  I just switched to pixel 2 from iOS and pretty bummed this wasn't available.  Didn't realize how much I missed it.

This actually made me switch back to iOS, I do not understand why you have not spent a few hours implementing this feature on Android, unless you’ve been paid off by Apple to give them better functionality. 7 pages worth of people is surely enough for the minimal work involved.

I've recently switched from an iPhone to an Android and not being able to swipe to queue a song or add it to my songs has been the number one thing that I would change on the Android. Please fix it! It makes the Spotify experience so much easier and better!

Well I commented on this thread 20 of April this year, and still no update from the devs. I see @meahtenoha was the one to give us an "not right now" status the 17 of October 2016. 

We would like an status update on this topic.

Is this something you are aware people still want? or is it something you are just ignoring?

Hey Spotify Devs! 

I see a lot of frustrated people in this thread but don't let that get to your heads. You guys do an awesome job and the app has improved continually over the years I've used it!

I think that adding the swipe gesture to queue and remove songs would please a lot of Android users and encourage them to stay on the platform. Especially given that iOS uses swipe gestures already for navigation purposes, it seems that these gestures would be much better suited for the Android experience anyway because Android uses the navigation bar/buttons instead of swiping. I hope so see this feature implemented soon and I empathize with your position trying to balance work and please the community. Keep up the great work!

I have to admit I have a hard time conceiving why features available on iOS are not on Android. And it isn't the only one... (yes I'm referring to song ordering in a Playlist).

Any update on this, please?

Ridiculous. Such an essential feature and you guys won't add it. Does nobody there use Android or what?
