Change the white interface

Obviously we have launched the new spotify with white artist profiles and album view.

However, the white interface have no ctrl+F function, which means that I can not find a specific song within an album or artist with a search function. This takes us to a world before altavista.

Another problem in this white interface is that we squeezed the track info into a little box. When in album-view, a track with a couple of featured artists will not fit in this box, it is not scrollable, it is simply a secret what the song is called, and who is playing it.

However, the new activity field is awesome, where one can follow people very selectively, and not get music-feed from everyone you know on facebook.

Meanwhile at Spotify HQ: ZzZzZzZz. On the bright side though they're smart to continue to allow streaming on previous, less blinding, versions. You done good on that.

Please please please get rid of the white, it's so harsh on the eyes.

9 months later and we STILL don't have a simple light/dark option?! What could possibly be the hold-up? Does everyone just love staring at a bright light on their screen at night? The lack of attention this simple issue(that wasn't an issue in the builds early in 2013) has gotten is enough reason for me to consider looking for another client to use. No dev team can possibly be this busy after most of a year of people asking about it, and I mean NO dev team on the planet.

Seriously, isn't this fixed yet? The majority DON'T LIKE IT! At least an option to choose colors would be enough.

Guys, is it really true? Still sucks?

I am on 8.5.1333 (black and old) So I am still afraid of updating..... please tell me they made it better and black! I am on a Mac.

Drag and drop multiple playlists (albums)?

Any advice appreciated!

And may I add:   can it be that difficult to do a proper preference popup like any other piece of software? Is this bright lamp of UI in Java or what???

I am never gonna update if it looks like iTunes...

I won't even mention the power consumption saving potential of the displays globally lightening up your bedrooms, while you are trying to get in the mood with your baby at darkest nights in the moonlight... 🙂

No, seriously, it's been almost a year, and while your designer are at it: don't waste Screen-estate with white-space! This is not print and form follows function! Frankly the actual screenshots look awful right now. Otherwise: thanks for exellent fiability and Catalogs!

I've only been using spotify for few months but feel let down by this update. I don't really use any apps with it, just playlist for work. The black and white contrast sucks, can't see an effing thing. And why does each track in playlist need an inch in height instead of the much more readable closer together format? Please bring option to rollback - even that wasn't ideal by any means, but anything is preferable to what we have now. thanks.

Hate the new look - it gives me a headache to try to read white type on a black background.  To make matters worse, the white type on the side bar is so light, it looks gray, and even harder to read.  Anyone in publishing will tell you white type on black background is a bad idea to use as more than a sidebar.  Causes eyestrain.  I'm back to using Youtube for making my playlists until this gets fixed.  Horrible!!!!!

Ok, really trying here to like the new look.

But really having a hard time, why not have a night/day switch for theme?

White on black never been a good idea it also looks pretty cheap from a design point.

Font size is off a bit.

I understand that the +"needs" to be big on a touchscreen,but on desktop?

And worst of all is the fact that if you got bright album art the interface goes so pale it´s really hard to read properly at a quick glance, but it´s nice that it adapts to the color under.

But by doing so you get the same horrid effect that is plagueing iOS7 users that sometimes looks like someone thrown up on the screen.

Can we at least get a dark grey version of the theme or have a codemonkey put a min/max on the blending transition over album art? I am one of those that like to see what I´m playing.

Oooh I noticed that the Spotify devs forgot to implement Chromecast support, pretty sure it was an honest mistake. (giggling at my own silly joke)

Guess we shouldn´t hold our breath for CC support.

Well luckily we got such a fine option like spotify connect instead. Said no one. Ever.

Other then that it´s a great update, I´m at least not nagging about the stars (they sure were great the way they used to work though, and no it´s not the same no matter how you slice it)
