Change the white interface

Obviously we have launched the new spotify with white artist profiles and album view.

However, the white interface have no ctrl+F function, which means that I can not find a specific song within an album or artist with a search function. This takes us to a world before altavista.

Another problem in this white interface is that we squeezed the track info into a little box. When in album-view, a track with a couple of featured artists will not fit in this box, it is not scrollable, it is simply a secret what the song is called, and who is playing it.

However, the new activity field is awesome, where one can follow people very selectively, and not get music-feed from everyone you know on facebook.

The white color scheme, i am sorry to say, sucks.... Drak grey is the way forwards!!
(or can we have an option please?)

I used to enjoy the grey background as it was more....cosy? White is bright for sure, and it doesn't suit spotify in the slightest. Not only that but I would also suggest it has psychological effect too (I'm no expert on this but from my own experience, grey tends to relax me more than white!)

Signed up just to comment here. Please please please change it back, it looks horrible and Ctrl-F is gone. Can't understand why it was changed, what does it add? It breaks the cool Spotify look completely. At least a skin switch for users who want to revert back. In whos mind is a clash of colours between Playlist and Artist pages a good idea? Really poor from the usually quality Spotify Devs

Please bring back the dark/black UI and CTRL + F for search.. This new update is a few steps back 😞

I dont get that you removed the search on page function (CTRL + F) and the bad mix of white and dark user interface.. Ethier go all white (please dont) or all dark (old version) - or better, let people choose theme.. And why do a grid for top tracks? Please bring back the old version or make a much better new version 🙂

HORRENDOUS new interface! !!!!

Lots of my Spotify time is late in the evening and the old interface was easy on the eyes and very functional. This new white thing just burned out my corneas!!!

Please allow us the option (skins?) to revert back to the old look and feel.

Spotify was one of my great pleasures - Not sure I will continue to pay to use it in its current state . . .

The new white interface looks like the "spotifykiller" Wimp's interface, which I also hated. Lot's of bugs as well, I can accidently start playing a playlist/album in the white interface by right-clicking, scrolling stopped working suddenly but didn't freeze it just thought I hade selected a track and started dragging that.

This downgrade actually made me register here on the community just to whine and cry. But really, was it too expensive to test this on a focusgroup early in development so you could have scrapped it early rather than release it?

Edit: I don't ever use Itunes but is this a copy attempt? Is Apple ruining my Spotify now? Is Steve Jobs putting his winkydink in my seating area from beyond the grave?

I say kudos to adding a dark/consistent background option for the white (HTML5) interface.

However, I do not like the new Activity Feed replacement. So I can't kudos that part of the original post. I just want to be able to choose who my favorite friends are again, instead of "Following" artists and users. I would like to be able to drag-n-drop songs to friends.

dear spotfiy, really, why was this change necessary? the new artist design is too bulky and the new color scheme is way too bright. everything was just fine as it was. so, currently i am still paying for premium but i do not really use spotify since it affects my eyes. i dont see much future in this setup. please change it back.

I seriously dislike the new interface update. It looks horrible. I feel like I am using ITunes now all of a sudden. I also lost the ability to click on the song I am listening to in the bottom left corner and have spotify whisk me back to the correct playlist the song is in. Now I have to fumble around trying to figure out where the heck the song is playing... ugh, do they even test these changes? c'mon spotify, you are supposed to be better then this!

I just got my first "collision" with the white background on the search page. It induced "pain" in my eyes due to unexpected/unwanted brightness - I'm sitting in room having a darkish ambient lighting.

I don't pretend to in a position to "demand" removal of whiteness. So, my vote goes for an option in the preferences.
