Please kill flash and move to HTML5 !!!!
It would be awesome - I cannot use spotify on firefox for now ... I do not have flash 😕
Cancelling my subscription until this is fixed, Flash is a dead technology and installing it puts all Spotify users as risk.
It's impossible to set the Spotify Web Player preference that tells it to open Spotify links in the app if you don't have Flash installed, so every time I click a Spotify link on the web, it opens in a player that doesn't work, instead of the desktop app I use constantly. Flash has a terrible security record and shouldn't be a part of any modern website.
I think I will also stop my spotify membership. I cannot use it on my linux machines and flash is disabled in my company. The only way I can use spotify is through my cell phone ... probably not worth it.
Hey everyone, we don't have an update surrounding this idea right now. However we still think this is a good idea and we'll update you here as soon as something changes. We appreciate you all bringing us your feedback here!
Support HMTL5! Flash is dead, Adobe killed it 😉
This is what spotify needs to kill the legal issue: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Encrypted_Media_Extensions
The same think that Netflix have.

Hey everyone! We can confirm this very popular idea is now fully implemented. The new Web Player uses HTML5 technologies solely. Thanks for your continued feedback in the Idea Exchange!
