Smart shuffle is a fun way to discover new songs, but it comes at a cost. Want to reshuffle your queue? Bam, wait a few seconds longer. Want to unshuffle your playlist? Bam, no longer works, and goes to a completely random place in the playlist.

To me this is an unwanted complication, and I'd much rather be able to choose in the settings menu whether I want to enable the Smart Shuffle feature, or disable it.

you have got to get rid of smart shuffle its one of the worst "features" introduced in the last year and that's saying something

I too find this feature very annoying.

It’s extremely buggy : works half of the time and I always get the message : « oops, a problem occurred ».
It’s also slow and just a very bad idea. I preferred the enhanced playlist feature than this rubbish.

The inability to just turn enhanced shuffle off completely is annoying.

Tap shuffle: normal shuffle on

Tap shuffle again to turn it off: ...nope! gotta wait 5-10 whole seconds while spotify enables enhanced shuffle which then stops you from sorting your playlist (that's a whole rant in and of itself)

So accidentally tap shuffle again: Ope! Now it's registered two taps while it was thinking and you're back to normal shuffle again!

As an alternative to the settings menu, I would consider being able to toggle shuffle on/off like usual, and only active smart shuffle on long-press as a good option as well.
Clicking on the shuffle button when smart shuffle is activated would return you to unshuffled mode sorted to previously set preference.

Another issue is when you're in this new smart shuffle mode that is enabled by default and then you go offline (like lets say you're on an airplane) if smart shuffle is enabled you CANT DISABLE and listen to any of your music (this is on iPhone)

Smart Shuffle broke Spotify for me too. I can't listen to music OFFLINE when I am sat in the plane for a 17 hour flight across the Pacific.

No way to disable this without connectivity, it even comes back on when I switch apps after the plane doors closed. Why can't you disable this feature automatically when I don't have internet connection?

This feature is so annoyingly sandwiched. Please remove it from my shuffle option. Shuffle on shuffle off that’s all. Not shuffle-> smart shuffle -> shuffle off. Jeez. Looking at other options for music listening. YouTube music is calling

A ordem aleatória inteligente é péssimo pra mim, pois uso diariamente o Spotify em viagens de estrada, onde o aparelho fica sem acesso a internet, é ultra trabalhoso tirar a ordem aleatória inteligente sem internet, isso quando ela sai!

Deixem nas configurações habilitar ou desabilitar.

if an internet connection is lost for any reason, smart shuffle cannot be disabled in offline mode on IOS devices. 

Currently, if the user has no internet connection and is in offline mode, a playlist that has smart shuffle enabled cannot be listened to. If the user tries to listen to said playlist, a pop up appears (ios) stating smart shuffle doesn't work without an internet connection, a green button stating "turn off" (smart shuffle) is presented. When this button is pressed nothing happens.

The pop up disappears the playlist screen is brought up, smart shuffle is still enabled, and the playlist is still un-playable in offline mode. 

please add the ability to disable smart shuffle in offline mode, without the need for an internet connection. Without this feature the user will not be able to use the service.
