Any news on an update to support the super-higher resolutiions for the Retina MacBook Pro? Everything is currently pixel doubled and looks awful in the new resolution, would be great to see an update?

Guys, this is not acceptable - almost all apps (even free) are retina ready yet and Spotify can't get this done?

Much like Adobe your ignornace for innovation and mindset that you're the sole actor within your market will ultimately be your fall. Your competitors already had Retina support for months. This is the Spotify app for iPad all over again.

the answer is greatly appreciated. but...

even though fonts work fine in webplayer, webplayer doesn't solve the big problem: graphics. 

plus it is hardly a replacement for the native app: no shortcuts, more complicated navigation, no spotify apps, etc.

Rdio just released an amazing universal app for iOS today, they also support Retina on OS X, I'm hoping this will give Spotify a reason not to take their users for granted.

I've decided not to renew my Premium subscription in Jan - the OS X Spotify app hasnt been updated for quite a while now, and it's starting to show. Completely horrible to use on the rMBP.

As an OS X and iOS software developer I've had to work on updating around 10 OS X apps to work on the retina display, many of which are a lot more complex than Spotify's app. It's not really all that time consuming assuming your app is well written.

7 months is inexcusible and Spotify have done bugger all to explain why they have had their finger up their ass for so long.

This is the best way.... change to other Company  .... Retina Support ist for Spotify a Feature but NO.. it is a Bug wheh you App looks complety blurred on Retina Macbooks

 The Same for Mountain Lion Notfications ... its really a shame ....

spotify srsly...get your as* up and fix this problem...

I pay 10bugs per month and have to look at music like this...

I know spotify suffer big  financial losses but maybe that is the problem...care about your community which is willing to pay..
