Spotify officially launched in Georgia on 23 February 2021, giving Georgian listeners legal access to one of the world's largest music streaming platforms. Since then, Spotify has become an important platform for discovering, streaming, and sharing music, while allowing Georgian artists to reach listeners locally and globally. However, despite Georgia being an official Spotify market, the country is still not included in Spotify's regional charts.
Because of the absence of Georgia-specific Spotify charts, listeners currently have no official way to see which songs, albums, and artists are performing best in the country. Georgian artists, international artists, music professionals, and fans are unable to access transparent data that reflects actual listening trends and streaming activity within Georgia.
Spotify has a growing community in Georgia, including dedicated music fans who actively support their favorite artists through streaming. For example, many BTS fans in Georgia and around the world participate in streaming efforts to support BTS releases and follow their artists' performance across different markets. However, without an official Georgian Spotify chart, fans cannot see how their support contributes to local rankings or how their favorite artists are performing specifically among Georgian listeners.
Georgia has a rich musical heritage and a growing digital music audience that deserves the same visibility as other Spotify-supported markets. Official Spotify Charts would help Georgian artists understand their audiences, highlight emerging local talent, measure the impact of new releases, and give fans the opportunity to follow the success of both Georgian and international artists in their own country.
We respectfully ask Spotify to add Georgia as an official Spotify Charts market and provide the same chart products available in other supported countries, including:
- Daily Top Songs charts
- Weekly Top Songs charts
- Historical chart archives
- Transparent rankings based on real streaming activity
Introducing official Spotify Charts for Georgia would improve transparency, support local artists, recognize the efforts of dedicated music fans, and strengthen Georgia's growing digital music industry.
We sincerely hope the Spotify team will consider this request and recognize Georgia as an official Spotify Charts market.
