Add a “Guess That Song” Game

Add a Guess That Song feature that turns your listening history into a personalized music-guessing game.

The game would collect songs you’ve played before and randomly select one from that pool. Spotify plays a short clip, and you have to guess the song.

• If you guess correctly, you move on to the next song.

• If you guess incorrectly, Spotify gives you a little more of the song as a hint.

• You get 5–6 chances to guess before the round is over.

• The game could track your score, streaks, accuracy, and fastest guesses.

The really fun part would be making it competitive with friends. Friends could challenge each other using songs from their own listening histories, or everyone could play from a shared pool and compete for the highest score.

It could also have different modes, such as:

• Your Library: Songs you’ve personally listened to.

• Friends: Songs from your friends’ listening histories.

• Shared Playlist: Guess songs from a playlist everyone chooses.

• Daily Challenge: One personalized challenge per day.

It would essentially turn Spotify’s existing listening data into a small, replayable game without requiring users to create anything new.

I think this could be a great way to make people interact with their music history in a completely different way.
