Add "remove video content" option to Spotify Family

Please add an option to "remove video content" to Spotify Family! Since video podcasts were added, my children now watch videos on Spotify instead of listening to music.  I had given them unlimited access to Spotify (unlike other apps) because it was only used for music.

All you'd have to do is add another toggle for "remove video content" next to "Remove explicit content".

Spotify Kids is not an option for us.  My children are teens and tweens.  And because they're teens and tweens, they have a very difficult time turning off compelling video content (just like some adults).  If Spotify becomes just another screen to stare at, I'm not sure we want to keep our Family membership.

What is the idea of letting video’s be pur on a music/pidcast app… more addictive behaviour of kids😡🤬?

Agreed. Spotify should be for Music. We try to protect my daughters from all of the **bleep** videos out there, but we want to foster her musicality....

Looks like we'll have to find a different way OTHER THAN SPOTIFY to do so. Something without social media videos.

If this is not quickly done, we'll move our family to Apple Music. We've let our kids use the Spotify app without any time limitation but as they realize they can stream video within Spotify, we'll have to restrict the app as well, or just move away.

What a bad move to actually add "YouTube" videos to Spotify...

Just thought I'd pop back and say I've moved to Apple Music and it seems to be going well. Child is happy at what he can get there and so far no problems at all 🙂

Definitely needed but not only for kids but anyone in the family account.  Spotify is a music app and worth paying for with the music driving engagement rather than shorts clickbait style addictive clips.

I subscribed Apple Music before and here it was easy to turn off video content. I changed to Spotify because it offers podcasts and audio dramas. Now I find my daugter watching videos for hours. There is a reason why I put a time limit on YouTube.

If Spotify does not react quickly on that issue, I will be forced to switch again to Apple Music.

The fact that this has been here for multiple years at this point and it's not even a matter they've addressed is mind blowing. For now, I have my kids blocked from Spotify and if it's not resolved soon I guess we will switch over to Apple Music. Interesting enough, this is going to be brought up in a local meeting for parents about Internet Safety and I will push for every single person to cancel Spotify and move to Apple Music or some other service. It's stuff like this that makes it next to impossible to keep children safe from addictive cycles and inappropriate content.

Tidal has videos as well. Has anybody tried deezer? My kids also watch videos on spotify. Damn it.

We switched to Apple Music, it's without video (so far). Also works on Android in case you are wondering.

Thank you, good to know. I'm going to be starting the transition this week.
Need to find a tool to help with migrating playlists. And get the Apple
Music app installed on the Tesla. But very good to know that Apple Music
does not support videos.
