Add "remove video content" option to Spotify Family

Please add an option to "remove video content" to Spotify Family! Since video podcasts were added, my children now watch videos on Spotify instead of listening to music.  I had given them unlimited access to Spotify (unlike other apps) because it was only used for music.

All you'd have to do is add another toggle for "remove video content" next to "Remove explicit content".

Spotify Kids is not an option for us.  My children are teens and tweens.  And because they're teens and tweens, they have a very difficult time turning off compelling video content (just like some adults).  If Spotify becomes just another screen to stare at, I'm not sure we want to keep our Family membership.

Is this live now or just being trialed in certain territories?

Seem like "manages accounts" so far is just available in some areas of the world. Like SEBAS26 - Denmark and jhgjhvjhvjhvjhv who seems to have found information related to New Zealand?

Supposed workaround:
If your router allows blacklists, you can add these domains to the list to block video content on spotify.
Again, this is a workaround and it is a shame that Spotify does not offer a proper way to do this in the app itself.

Please, Spotify. We pay you for Music. Stop trying to be TikTok. An absolute headache with all the damn videos and animations. There is beauty in MUSIC and STILLNESS.

I was advised by the governing body here in Ireland to report all inappropriate content within the app. Has anyone done this? I have more of an issue with the videos so I haven't reported anything inappropriate.

Have been with Spotify forever, but am sadly going to have to leave if the company can’t see fit to allow family plan administrators to block videos, much like we can for explicit content. Given these videos all come from dedicated CDN endpoints, the only reason to refuse to offer this feature is a product decision, not technical feasibility. All I can assume is Spotify is eager to monetise the attention of 13-14 year olds, which is pretty disgusting.

going to start a free Apple Music trial this week to see if it’s any better for our young teens.

Yes I’ve done this. I sent screen grabs and they said they would look into it. The content is still there. They do not acknowledge there is an ongoing issue with safeguarding. There is a bottomless pit of awful content. I also tried to get a refund of paying for Family plan as it’s not fit for purpose, but they just referred me to the 7 day cancellation policy. They really don’t care and have not responded to concerns.

I just wanted to add my voice. After close to 10 years as a premium member, I'm canceling my plan because of these stupid videos. Just music. I just want music. Children have impulse control issues, which is why parents gravitate towards controlled arenas like spotify, but it's broken now because of these poscast videos. We're going to transfer our playlists and leave. I was pretty upset when I realized there was this Spotify loophole for brainrot content, but then it was even more upsetting to discover that others have been asking to have this regulated for over 3 years and nothings happened.
