[All Platforms][Other] Button on play queue to shuffle current selections

Currently, in the panel "Playing from play queue" below "Now playing," if there are any selections queued, there is a listing titled "Next in Queue" with one option "Clear Queue".

My request -

Add an additional button labeled "Shuffle", have it appear only if there is more than one selection in the queue. Pressing this "shuffle" button does a random sort of the selections currently in the queue.

Note : selections below in the "Next from" section are not included, no change is made to their order.

I need this because I routinely make a selection of singles and albums from several artists but I want then to shuffle the selections. This is kind of like building a playlist on the fly.

  1. An alternate idea would be to have a button that transfers selections in the queue to a playlist. But that is less preferable because I don't want a new playlist to be added

Hola, como puedo hacer para modificar el random /shuffle? El algorithm es muy similar y cuando escucho Canciones desde la biblioteca se repiten las secuencias

I am a newbie to Spotify. I assume this explains why when I add music to that already playing it only seems to shuffle by each queue 'entry'. I could not understand what I was doing wrong and was thoroughly confused.but now I realise I cannot enque album say and apply shuffle to all tracks now queued to be played.

Quite surprised by this and would def want it in the future.

This is core functionality folks. Is it really that difficult to add this?

Come on, just do it.

For now I'll just create a new playlist every time I want to queue something and then play the playlist it's a lot of trouble.

you should be able to shuffle the queue.

the queue is completely useless to me without shuffle. I never use it.

seems like it would be easy to implement.

Shuffle, random, etc. It doesn't matter what you call it. When I create a playlist that I want to shuffle, I want Spotify to play the songs in a random order. It does not. Ever. If I tell a playlist to shuffle, it plays the song in the exact same order. If I sort by song name, that does randomize my list by nature but if I go and shuffle that playlist and then go back to do it again tomorrow - the songs will play in the exact same order. I am not aware of any other media-playing software that lacks such a critical feature. I've read forum posts and ideas about how to order the songs in a playlist. The answers all miss the point. Randomize the list of songs all you want, spotify will play them in a particular order each and every time you ask it to "Shuffle" them.
