[All Platforms] Setting for max Cache Size Allowance

The android version of Spotify currently doesn't have a setting for how much disk space the cache is allowed to take up, so it just keeps getting larger and larger until the entire drive is full.

A music streaming app should not need several gigabytes of  drive space. Give us the option to cap this - getting real tired of getting told I'm out of disk space and having to manually wipe it.

With Spotify HiFi this will be a must have feature.

And if you storing the songs in CACHE.. let us use it as Offline...  will be great for being on a plane when didn't have time to download etc..

So... What kind of update do you have? Or are you just ignoring this request?

With a slightly older phone with only 32gb storage I find myself having to manually clear the cache every few weeks. C'mon Spotify this is a basic feature.

Yeah, please, let your app grow like a cancer untill our devices can't function normally

Damn, 4 years... That's just pure not giving a f

The cache grows up until the storage is completely full.

this leads to a lagging smartphone over all apps >:[

it's a basic feature! the missing of this is a big interference in using our smartphones

PLEASE update @Spotify team. A lot of your customers are facing the same issue here (since years), which is not only annoying, performance-limiting and time-consuming but also an absolutely unnecessary environmental/climate f*ckup - considering the massive amount of energy and CO2 WASTED every day (both on the phone that is constantly working and consuming battery, and of course on the servers and network capacity necessary for it) because of Gigabytes of unnecessary cache being downloaded every day and then being deleted manually the next day.

It is quite unbelievable to me that you seem to not care about all this at all, considering how long the ticket is already open and how comparably little effort this "feature" (fix) probably needs to be realized. ACT NOW!

I have an LG K7 that I've use as a music player, it only has 8GB of storage. After only 4 days of use, my cache is 1.2GB, about 35% of my storage. This is insane.

This is beyond infuriating. Please, please fix this.
