[All Platforms] "Don't Like Button" should be added to all sections

Hello everyone,

I am not sure why it keeps changing between updates, although in the past Daily Mixes have the Like & Dislike button. But this time around it has been completely removed and is only available Under Your Weekly Discovery.

It would be nice if the "Don't Like Button" was added everywhere, from Weekly Discovery, Daily Mixes, even when searching specific songs, albums, genres etc. to better filter our music preferences.

Also I find on Android on the drop down menu the Don't like button rarely ever works and have to enter the app directly. Like always works perfectly fine.

I would appreciate it if this could be considered.

Thank you

Hi everyone,

Thanks for bringing us your feedback in the Spotify Idea Exchange.
We're marking this as a 'Good Idea'.

Please know your feedback is reaching the internal teams at Spotify, and they're aware of the votes around this idea. We'll continue to check out the comments here, too.

If there are any updates, we'll let you know.
Thanks

5,114 people agree for this idea to be implemented, and yet it's still absent? How many more votes does it take to add this feature? Even if there are those who don't want to use it, I don't see how this idea would ruin their experience. Can this simply be scripted as a condition if true, execute the code by not adding it to the user's playlist? People tend to want to listen to music they like than don't like.

It would also be nice to hear about what's causing the hold up for this feature.

I like listening to whole albums. My Spotify unwrapped makes a point of telling me this!

But many albums include long lists of extra tracks - B-sides or remixes - that I'm not interested, so I hide them. It's been useful to find the reason why I cannot prevent this behaviour and stop these tracks being played when piping music to certain devices, but really irritating that Spotify aren't prepared to develop their interface to support this, or indeed any other new features. I don't think the interface has improved for the whole 5 years I've been paying my monthly subscription.

There's been something like 150+ incremental updates released since early 2020 without any change to this bug / feature gap. Any chance that Spotify would commit to when it's getting fixed? Else it feels like they're saying one thing on the forums and then just doing whatever they were going to do (or not do) anyways.

Please do this; it's ridiculous that I hide a song on my phone, and it still plays on my AirPods. What is the point of hiding it then? It's not like I listen to music from my phone without connecting it to a Bluetooth speaker or earbuds, so the hide feature becomes absolutely pointless without it "syncing across devices", as you call it...

This is absolutely absurd, in addition to functioning they decided, "desktop users wont ever need this feature". What ridiculous thought process made this happen?
I listen to spotify on my computer while I work and it keeps playing the same 5 super shitty songs that I can do nothing about?
I should be able to say "NEVER PLAY THIS SONG AGAIN". I looked into this about a year ago because I was frustrated and guess what.. NO PROGRESS. I am seriously considering cancelling my premium..

Just joined Spotify, this needs to be implemented ASAP!

I've become increasingly frustrated by a song that keeps appearing and I could have sworn the ignore/block/hide feature worked before. Can Spotify give us anymore updates, since the last was over a year ago, and this suggestion has been here for at least 3 it seems??

I get that an artist I like sang about rape one time and we can’t pretend that they didn’t but it sure would be nice if I could choose not to hear it thanks

It is crazy that basic functionality like skipping hidden songs is not implemented. On the community thread that sent me here, it was explained that the behavior is expected when using Spotify Connect... why? Using the Spotify app on and Android phone and listening via Bluetooth headphones, Spotify continues to play songs on playlists that I have hidden a dozen times or more.
