RETURN THE LIKE BUTTON

I don't care if this has been submitted a hundred times over, you Spotify devs clearly need to hear it. You should *not* have to go through the effort of finding the "liked songs" playlist, just to add a song to Liked, when you have a ton of playlists. Playlists don't even sort like they used to, it seems almost random which playlists show first despite which ones I interacted with last - but that's not the issue here; it's just yet another downside of the problem at hand.

Please. Please. Please.

Bring back the **bleep** 'liked'/heart button on songs and albums. Having to add liked songs to my liked playlist manually just leads to me adding it to different playlists because it's so **bleep** tedious in the first place. I've been adding songs to playlists and then using the PC version to mass-add songs to Liked because you make it so inconvenient on mobile. This isn't user-friendly in the slightest.

Just, why? Why can't you just bring back the little heart? I thought the point of liked songs was to add songs then and there; not to have to stop in the street to add a song to a playlist because it now takes several seconds to do so. I've been paying for Premium since 2009, and now I'm wondering if you're worth the effort. Fire whoever told you it was a good idea to remove the Liked button, seriously. Fire yourselves for listening, too.

Frustrating to see this still isn't "fixed" the lack of a proper like button is still horrible.

There ended my order after more than 10 years 😐 Thanks for the good times but digital platforms are quite easy to replace. After all it´s the music I am after not the application.

I chose Tidal for better functionality with likes and also more value with these:

- better audio quality

- music videos included

- better family bargain and better price overall

- paying more for artists

- hopefully also replying to customer request. From this post I see that Spotify does not reply.

Maybe I could come back to Spotify when you introduce videos also in my country and fix you UI. After all I am a stock owner also so it´s quite unlogical to leave the service 🙂

Pleaseeee bring back the heart for liking songs and being able to SEE the heart next to certain songs. It made life soooo much easier for my favorite songs, especially when I have fav songs in different playlists or just want to heart a sonf! Thank you.

I first submitted this idea within hours of it happening. Being in New Zealand our time is ahead of the rest of the world. Then my post ended up merged with another. I also submitted an idea to have both the green heart and the green tick.

If you have a look at your Release Radar in the desktop app, you will see this extra column already exists. What is the point of having a column to hide songs on your Release Radar. Who does that? Herein lay the solution we're seeking.

This would also do away with having a dual function button. One downside of using YouTube music is that if you like a song you are automatically subscribed to the artist YouTube channel. Hence Why I never like any songs in YT Music.

For the same reason I never use the green check to send songs to other playlists, because you have to like the song first. Thousands if not millions of Spotify users are wondering how their "Liked songs" playlist grew to an unmanagable size.

Look how easy it is, Spotify. Take Apple Music for example. I can add stars to my favorite songs with a simple click, or remove them with another simple click. And I can see the songs I marked as favorites with a little star, and everywhere. If I mark a song, the mark appears in lists, albums, songs... How simple, right?

But there's more, I can go to the metadata of any song and mark it as a favorite, and I can even tell if the song is a super favorite, give it a rating.

And what's more, the songs sound good, in HD, and without raising the price. How simple, right, Spotify?

It makes me a little sad to see what Spotify has become. Anyway, there's a lot of offer. Good luck.

I just want to see the songs I’ve already liked inside playlists I make.

It would be great to have a setting where you can toggle seeing “liked” songs, if not just set as the default completely.

Please bring it back !

Is Spotify the next Sonos ?!

icemaker

Please bring back the 'heart'/like button.

If you have a song in a playlist, it is impossible to now like or tell if a song is liked !

This is such a huge usability downgrade.

I'm feeling Spotify will be the next Sonos, by constantly ignoring their users feedback and removing features.

Agreed! I want to know which songs in my own playlists are the ones I like more, and which ones I want to check out later! A whole "favourite" songs playlists doesn't mean anything. Bring back the heart on songs on every playlist!

dannydirven

Yes I completely agree! I have very large playlists, so seeing which songs are liked made it so much easier to distinguish between nice/OK songs and amazing songs. Since this change, listening to my larger playlists has definitely become much less fun
