Hi there,

I think many users get annoyed by those "local" recommendations that are based on the country that is chosen by their payment method.

E.g. I'm living in Europe, where English language is not local language, and I'm getting recommendations for the local songs, which I don't like, and I'd prefer English music over that, is there any chance I could change my country of recommendations to US or Canada?

I created this post in 2016 and they never bothered to implement it.
I kept using spotify because of my watch - i listen to music while running.
I just got a new watch that supports Youtube Music. I already have Youtube
Premium, so...

Good bye Spotify! Youtube Music allows you to change countries with 1 click.

This is so bad! Why is it not possible to find audio booke in other laguages?

I live in switzerland my wife is from croartia. We would lieke to play audiobooks to our doughter in croatian language. Forexaplme Miss Melody or something similar. But there is no way to find Audio book in another language. Even as an adult it yould be nice to hear a book in another language.. To train this language.. I really dont unterstand this "lock" to teh accounts region.

Please let us customize the home page of the app, at the moment it looks horrible, I find music suggestions that do not interest me and I really hate them (shitty "music" from my country).

For now I will deactivate my subscription and I will come back when the problem is solved..

I want songs from my country to be recommended more, even playlists with local songs on Home page. I want more Serbian music.

Would be great to see this implemented. For example, I constantly have "Listen to the best local playlists" in my feed, which I hate. It's the complete opposite of what I'm listening to and I find it extremely annoying.

This is so annoying. I do not care about podcasts in local language. Even if I search for podcasts by using keywords in English language, I get suggestions and search results with podcasts in language related probably to the country of my credit card issuer, which doesn’t represent my preference for suggestions and search results. I have tried switching to VPN but it doesn’t help. 

Put user in control. I have been a paying customer for many years and I want to be in control of what I am paying for.

YES. PLEASE. 

I am an American living abroad in Spain. On Spotify, I changed my country back to US because I want my recommendations to be for American/English-speaking podcasts. I make a Spanish salary but am charged for the US rates, so that's not ideal. Clearly there are 20 pages of people in similar situations.

Do something about it, Spotify!
