Hi there,

I think many users get annoyed by those "local" recommendations that are based on the country that is chosen by their payment method.

E.g. I'm living in Europe, where English language is not local language, and I'm getting recommendations for the local songs, which I don't like, and I'd prefer English music over that, is there any chance I could change my country of recommendations to US or Canada?

Your sections are completely useless to me, spotify. I never listened nor will I ever listen to my countrys music, yet all I see is that kind of music. I don't know if I am still willing to pay for that.

Look how many people want this change. Why are you being dicks about it. We pay for a service. We are the customers if you do not change this and make it a option I will be canceling my premium.

It's simple make it happen.

Try Spooks, it's working really well for me. It may not solve the problem
completely, but it makes it far easier to find and read books on Spotify.

I want Podcast and music recommendations for my home country and not the current country I happen to live in.

I'm currently lookong for new podcasts and generally stuggle a lot by not having proper filtering options, of which language would be the most important one to me.

Same here. This drives me insane to always be stuck to the billing country. As an expat,and there are a lot, I'd like to have the recommendations of my home country.

Surely this is not a major code change! 

Hopefully this can make it in your backlog and short term product roadmap 😏

I live in a country I don't speak the local language.

Music and playlist suggestions become meaningless. Podcast suggestions are very annoying! 

I now started considering alternative platforms for music/podcasts to be able to avoid the local content.

This is a necessary change to Spotify. Quarantine has been terrible because I can't find new songs in English. Spotify tries to force local songs down my throat every day. I never listened to a local song in my life and Spotify should know that.

I live in  India , Maharashtra I can only understand Marathi and little bit of English Hindi is too complicated language for me I am rarely listen music in Hindi but Spotify keep adding Hindi songs in my playlist even if I change the music language in setting Is there any point to listen songs which you don't understand

I live in India and it is a country with multiple languages nearly 16 official languages are in India not everyone can understand Hindi every state has its own different language and culture As I mentioned above I don't understand Hindi I don't like Hindi music in my playlist but Spotify keep adding and suggesting Hindi songs for me 

Let's just Imagine You live US and you can only understand English would you like to listen Japanese song or would you like to listen Thai music absolutely not. Why would someone listen songs in language which they don't understand
