Custom Sort option for Liked Songs

In liked songs, albums are listed alphabetically. I despise this. I've always known albums by chronology and that's how they are sorted in the artist page. I have recently been re-annoyed by this listening to my chemical romance as they released five 2 track "singles" listed as "number one- five" in spelled out letters. So they are in the wrong order in my liked songs.

I often like listening to albums in order on long journeys etc and it's ridiculous that there isn't a way to sort or filter within liked songs for an artist.

Currently, in "Liked Songs" there are 5 ways to arrange the songs in your playlist. Custom order, which just puts the most recent ones on the top, title, which sorts them alphabetically, Artist, which sorts artists alphabetically,  Album, which groups ones in the same album, and date added, putting the most recently added ones on the bottom.

I think they should instead rename Date added to Date added old and make a new way called Date added new, and make Custom order allow you to move songs around like you normally would in other playlists.

Most of the people who use Spotify are not even coming here. For example I am long time user and I hardly ever visit Spotify community. Counting on how many people voted and not addressing  that this is a huge miss and willing to fix it is beyond my understanding.  This feature is so basic and not having that on most important place like "liked songs list" is just ridiculous. That is how you actually make people live to something more user friendly or professional.

I have always wanted to rearrange songs in my Liked Songs just as a playlist can. Like move a song lower down in my Liked Songs or put a song in between other songs.

This did exist on the old desktop app at one point, I know it for sure. I had songs at the bottom of my likes that I put there deliberately, right below the first song I liked for my collection (I remember it clearly being the Steve Aoki remix of Thriller that was billed in a Spotify ad in 2017). I can't imagine for the life of me why this idea, other idea posts, or the feature in general, was axed.

I'm moving back to Spotify on a new account from a few years with YouTube Music. I wanted to re-like my collection in order, because when I go through my collection, the order of the songs aligns with what was happening in my life at the time. More specifically, I accidentially un-liked Circles by Post Malone, which was a couple dozen songs below where I was in importing my stuff. It's a song I used to listen to when I moved away from an ex to go to college. Now, that song is stuck on top of a couple songs I liked back when I got my house. Completely different feel, and now I can't fix it.

This is exactly it. Also if the song you're listening to is minimized, the
like button is literally right next to the pause/play button. I'm the same
way where I like to keep my songs in order so that I know what I was
listening to at times in my life. Can't tell you how many times I've had
the same experience, where I accidentally unlike a song. Totally sucks.
Almost makes me want to go back to YouTube to mp3 folders. I just don't
understand why we pay every single month, creators don't get nearly as much
as they should for their own music, and yet we don't even get to rearrange
our liked songs.

Currently, Spotify allows you to shift the order of the songs in your playlist but not the order of your liked playlist. But I happen to listen to my music in the same order. So recently I accidentally unlike a song from my liked songs list and now I have to unlike and re-like all my songs in the order it was before so my songs can be in the order it was before.

This may be a specific concern of mine, but it's kind of annoying and I will no longer have the date I added the songs tied to the songs which is also a big deal for me.

This definitely needs to be implemented!!

How is this not a thing. Liked Songs has got to be the number one used playlist-esque feature on Spotify considering how easy it is to "like" a song vs adding it to a playlist.

The whole concept of Liked Songs is that they are your immediate favourites in the here and now. For users like me if I play a song to death and it's 3rd in my Liked Songs queue out of a thousand I want to be able to get rid of the possibility of it playing when I start listening from song number one (a regular event) - instead of just disliking it. Currently I have to resort to disliking and (re)liking all the songs I want to listen to so they start and proceed from index 0,1,2,3,4... etc.

It would have made sense to do the reverse of the current implementation and make liked songs sortable and playlists restricted. But maybe that's just me!

It's such a bummer that Spotify relies on number of votes for this topic. This is a very simplistic feature that many users (more than just those who voted) benefit from.

Currently, the liked songs list behaves like a stack so if I want to re-order some songs I have to unlike all the songs above them and like them in the order I want which is ridiculous. I don't understand how the re-ordering is so easy in a playlist but not in liked songs. Can't the liked songs be treated as a special playlist?
