[Discover] Find public Playlists that contain Song/Artist

My theory (not rocket science):

If someone else's playlist includes a song or artists that I like, there is a good change that I will enjoy the rest of their playlist.

Currently, you can only search for public playlists via playlist name.  Considering that most people do not name their playlists to accurately reflect the type of music it contains, I believe that the current search functionality is quite limited.

Spotify should have functionality to search for public playlists that contain a song/artist.  I think would be immensly helpful for music discovery.

Best of luck,

Ryan

P.S. - Down the line, it would be interesting to see "similarity scores" between two playlists.  Could be quite interesting for finding new music.

Hey folks.

Thanks again for all your votes and comments.
We're still keeping an eye on this idea, but at this time we don't have an update.

Hi, I am not sure if this is the right section for my question, but I remember seeing a music video some years back at a gym club.  In the music video, a mother appeared to be a hostess or waitress at a restaurant or diner. She has a phone call with her husband or boyfriend who was either a construction worker or oil worker.  They ended their relationship over the phone.  After the breakup, the mother gathers her things and picks up her son and takes him to her car.  The car she drives appears to be a 1970/80s muscle car.  The music video ends with them driving off at sunset in the desert near mountains and the son and mother are looking at each other.  I do not remember the name of the song or its artist.  ChatGPT and Google Gemini were not very helpful in my search.  I hope someone here may be able to tell me what the song, video, and artist are.  Thanks in advance.

Is there any update on this?  Please please add this feature to the API.  I think its probably not a complex update to make, so there must be a business reason you will not do it.  Could you maybe update this thread to state that so we can stop asking if you are simply never going to do it.  Thanks in advance - love your product!

6 Years have passed since the brilliant idea. Nothing happend. Spotify hasn't changed much since about 5 years.
