Don’t automatically like song when adding to playlist for first time

The circle button with the +/✔️ is the easiest way to add/remove songs from playlists, which I love the efficiency of and ability to adjust multiple playlists at once; but when a song isn’t already in a playlist, it automatically likes the song and I hate this. I know I could take the extra steps to click “add to playlist,” but why not give the option to customize that one aspect of the button? It seems it would be a quick fix; the first time you use the button following an update, it can ask “When adding songs to a playlist for the first time, do you want the song automatically liked?” or something like that, then all users win. OR just bring the heart back in addition to the circle and make the circle solely for managing playlists.

Agreed. My listening pattern was to put a discography in a playlist, and listen through in chronological order and hitting like on the tracks I wanted. Now that green checkmark just tells me the song is in a playlist. I've got to press it again and select my Liked Songs playlist to add it there, which is a hassle while driving. Just bring back the Heart button.

I agree. I curate a lot of playlists and use the favorite button for specific songs on those playlists I don't want to favorite every single one of them. It's actually pretty annoying since I have had this workflow for several years now and  the work around is complicated and not easy to do on the go.
