This idea is about giving users creative control over the emotional arc of a playlist.

Instead of manually dragging hundreds of songs, users could draw the energy curve they want and Spotify would rearrange the playlist to match it.

The system could use signals like:

• BPM
• loudness
• danceability
• energy score

to reorganize songs.

How it would work

1. Open a playlist
2. Tap Sort → “Energy Curve”
3. A canvas appears where you can draw a line representing the energy progression of the playlist
4. Spotify rearranges the songs to best match that curve

Example uses:

• Workout playlist that ramps up intensity
• Dinner playlist that slowly relaxes
• Party playlist with multiple peaks
• DJ-style set building
