It should be possible to turn off all video content

Irreapective if you are on wifi or not. As a parent this would be an important feature

Beyond Parents, the absence of video is the reason why my app blockers do not block Spotify, and do block any other media app. Now I get these video suggestions on the home page since a couple of weeks. Absolutely hate it, with a passion

Yes!!

I'm not a parent, but I find the constant visual content (like Instagram stories) on my homepage extermely irritating.

Please provide an option for a serene interface.

Best solution I've figured out so far is turn on "Data saver" option. You'll be streaming on a lower resolution when on 4G, but at least you get rid of the visuals (both on 4G and on wifi!).

Spotify clearly not listening judging by the age of these comments and the fact I still can't disable all video content for my young teen daighter. She doesn't want the toddlers version of the app (Spotify Kids) she's 12... but I can't have her accessing YouTube and TikTok content so we're going to have to cancel our family plan. Spotify is for listening - nobody needs more things to watch and rot their brains. Do better Spotify!

I am a spotify user since, I don't know when. Must be about 10 years. I never questioned myself to take a look at the competition, always was a happy user. Even now I have youtube premium I don't use their music service because I was happy with spotify.

Now, obviously some intern, had the idea to make spotify play videos. Got it, great idea and some people might like it. But there is no option to turncoat off?!?! Really?!?!

I use spotify with my phone and headphones. Now I have to click, change to audio, on every damn track!!!

Otherwise I hear glass shattering, a dog barking, a car driving or whatever happens in that video.

I mean you can't be serious, right?

That's the quintessenz of your app, to listen to music.

It's the first time for me I question staying a user of spotify, and that means they really **bleep** it up.

Whoever had the idea should step down of his position!

Searching for any song on the homepage and letting autoplay take over will automatically play the music videos. This is an unwanted behavior for many people, including myself, as the audio in the music videos is often different and of lower quality than the audio version, as well as wasting data. An audio-only toggle button for the entire app would be desirable. Right now, you can switch to the audio version of a song, but the next song will play in video mode.

I HATE this with my life. I just want to listen music NOT watch the video, especially when I'm studying or trying to sleep, it's so stressful to have to switch to audio bc I DONT want the video. If I want to watch the musical clip I go to YouTube NOT Spotify. Thinking about change to another music service and cancel my subscription

YES! I used to use it for my child to enjoy music without video content. Now it’s just more short video clips. Very annoying and would love the option to turn this off

Koenigseeg

Im about to switch from Spotify to Apple One, just because of that issue.

And this needs to be a parental control feature (controlled by the parent) rather than controllable by the child (e.g., under 18)
