It has took a couple of months to unsubscribe.
As a busy person, and probably quite typically so, it has meant spotify gained a couple of months of extra subscription. It's not clear where the unsubscribe even is. It was not visible on the plans page.
I would go as far as saying it has been deliberately optimised to make it hard to unsubscribe.
Further, when you have decided to unsubscribe, it prompts you in the app to re-confirm it at a separate occasion.
In my case, my Spanish is not fluent, so I did not fully follow this confirmation. And I still got charge, and had to go through the complaint procedure, which was helpful, but initially saying they could not help.
Would surely be easier, and less costly to allow users to unsubscribe easier, rather than going through an elongated complaints process via:

Luckily I had paid with a card, and was further backed by the UK Consumer Credit Act - Section 75.
Lets hope Spotify realises that its subscribers come for awhile, and then leave. But often come back.
