Multisong Radio

i want to to be able to select multiple songs from a playlist and use that to start a radio.  where the songs in the radio list would be similar to the songs selected.  this is so i can create a better curated radio station for the mood I am in.

I really want this feature.

There are times when I have several songs that clearly share something — a certain mood, production style, texture, rhythm, atmosphere, etc. — but I don't necessarily know what genre or keyword describes that commonality. In those situations, what I want is basically:

“Give me more music that feels like these 3–5 songs.”

A radio based on a single track is useful, but it can easily follow characteristics that aren't actually the reason I like that song. With multiple seed tracks, Spotify could infer the characteristics they have in common and recommend songs closer to that intersection.

What makes this especially frustrating is that Spotify has effectively supported this idea before. Prior to the 2024 API restrictions, the Web API's Recommendations endpoint allowed developers to provide multiple seed tracks (along with seed artists or genres) and generate recommendations from them. Spotify also used to have Playlist Radio, which provided a similar experience by generating a radio from a collection of tracks rather than just one song.

So this doesn't feel like an entirely new concept — it's more like a very useful discovery feature that has disappeared from both the consumer product and, for new developers, the API.

I'd love to see it return as a first-class Spotify feature: select several tracks, choose “Create Radio from Selection”, and get recommendations based on the musical characteristics those tracks share.
