[Music] Custom Start & Ending Times for a Track

Hi.

I'm a big electronic music lover and there is only one feature i would like added to spotify. The option to choose a part of the track i would like to play and have the settings saved.

In the world of electronic music there is almost allways 2-3 minute build ups, and not many radio mixes of each track.

This can be a problem when having a party and a track lasts for 7 minutes with 3 of them is a buildup that not everyone would like to listen to.

It would be nice to have a feature like this that i can change on each track, just drag 2 buttons to a start and end point. and maybe have a 3-5 second fade on where i choose to set them.

Even the Spotify-made playlists with this feature are old at this point.  Really hoping for this feature, but when it's been over 6 years since the original request was acknowledged...

Also, would the track timing be tied to a playlist?  A user?  Seems like playlist would be the easiest to implement while satisfying most people's needs, though I'd love to cut some bad intros out of my life completely.

Playlist would probably be easiest, but I don't see why they couldn't do it
at user level.

Maybe theres licencing reasons preventing them from modifying a song?

As it stands, I just "found" a copy of those songs I wanted to shorten,
edited them to remove the intro, and uploaded it as a private playlist via
the PC app. Pain in the **bleep** though.

This is also helpful for rap music, which often has intros/outros and skits.

Yes please! There are some great songs out there that have annoying intros or outros that totally throw me off when I'm working. I would use this feature extensively!

This feature would be perfect. I run the intro songs for our softball team, and when people walk out to their song they want a specific time. If this feature was a thing i would be able to just start the song at a specific point rather than forwarding the song manually to a specific spot.

Hello,

Spotify, I teach ballroom dance lessons and we are looking for an app to play songs for a certain amount of time just like him, as dance song should be withing 1 min to 2 min, and fades into the next song) there are thousands of ballroom clubs and studios who would use your app, including mine. I highly suggest this feature.

yes, Yes, YES! We use spotify for our school functions and some songs need to play right where the music is exciting. Please, PLEASE implement this idea.
