It'd be awesome to be able to add my own tags to all of my songs in playlists, so I can easily and specifically sort my songs how I like.

Should be a pretty simple tool to implement.

Tagging songs would allow you to find music that elicit specific feelings (eg "serene", "powerful", "underdog rise") or have certain aspects that you love ("fast-paced", "discordant", "harmonious"). It would also help you avoid songs with features you dislike ("repetitive", "heavy", "satire") that kind of thing.

I genuinely think this would be huge, and super helpful to find more music as well as improve stations to eliminate songs you don't like from artists you might otherwise enjoy etc.

I would love tagging.  I am actually an Apple Music user but am making the transition right now to Spotify -- very upset that I cannot tag songs however.  I tag all my songs in Apple Music with their BPM, and I would love to be able to sort by BPM on Spotify.

I am currently with apple music, but I would immediatlely to spotify if you would implement this. I hate scrolling trough all my saved albums all the time. It would be so helpfull group all my favourite music to match my moods and needs. For example: #nostalgic #summer #backgroundmusic #classics #favourites

I just don’t really like to listen to songs, but I’m more an album kind of person. Please help and implement this.

re this idea, i too have thought that it would be a great idea to sub divide my albums into lists, ie country albums, rock, easy, etc. I do of course have playlists of my favourite songs but playlists of albums would be good.

Ugh this would be awesome. It would be so much easier to hear a song and tag it than to try to think of songs that would fit on playlists, which I'm doing now.

I agree. This is a much more versatile way of organizing music than the standard playlist / folder structure and makes it easy to create a quick playlist from music I know I'll like.

At a party with family, I can play all my saved music that is tagged "dance", "spanish" and not tagged "explicit". On a date, I can quickly create a playlist that's "alternative", "romantic", and "slow". Etc.
