Option to disable auto connect and play

Hello,

I was writing to ask for an additional option in settings to prevent Spotify from automatically playing when it recognizes / connects to any bluetooth device.

In my car, when trying to hear driving instructions, Spotify opened itself and began playing. I had to continuously close it (4-5 times) which was creating a driving hazard. Also it begins playing immediately each time i start my car, which has just become annoying.

When using my phone, I'll be watching a video and decide I want to hear the sound. I pop in my headphones and immediately Spotify initiates itself and begins playing, instead of the active app I'd like to be listening to.

Sorry for complaining, but it has just become too annoying. Otherwise, really enjoy the app.

When i connect my airpods, music from spotify starts playing. I've tried every step from your support, I've look around the internet and found people are having the same issue. Spotify needs an update to fix. Needs an option to turn off autoplay when a device is connected via bluetooth

The title says it all.

The app behaves as if my headphones are a car, but doesn't let me access any car-related settings or controls in order to disable auto-resume which causes playback to resume whenever I open the app while the headphones are connected on Bluetooth.

This is very frustrating and annoying.

Spotify keeps removing itself from my Sonos playback in my house and moving to my headphones every time I take a call making it really hard to hear people which is quite annoying extra faff during calls. It will also break all jams because of this unwanted auto device switching behaviour.

I want to customise which devices Spotify can automatically switch to eg car.

I want to customise which devices Spotify cannot automatically switch to and would require manual device choice eg any of the headphones I take calls on.
