Option to hide the podcast comments section

Please develop an option to hide the comments section for podcasts. Users should be able to choose whether or not they see this section.

Hey Spotify, believe it or not but there are many ppl who have zero social media presence on purpose. I want to be able to open the app and not be faced with these stupid and offensive comments. Why does everyone feel the need to add a social media element to their platform when there is no need or demand for it? You should at least give us the option to hide the comments…

We don't need a comment section on Spotify. This is a listening app, not a discussion board. Comments can be taken to other platforms.

Please turn it off, it's completely ruining the experience for me and I will stop listening to my podcasts on spotify if there is no option to hide this. I couldn't be more disinterested in seeing opinions from random people who I have not chosen to follow, often containing spoilers and toxic arguments. There are enough social platforms where we are bombarded with unsolicited opinions, please leave this one out of it!

There are so many comments with spoilers. At least make viewing the comments require a scroll or a click, don't force people to view them

For the love of all that's holy... put an option to turn off comments!! This is by far the worst feature ever introduced to Spotify. Why are users being subjected to pod bros' and O.F. girls' commentary?

I agree with blackpuma162 that I don't mind the concept of comments, I just want the ability to hide them or a way that they're less visible. I listen to spotify on my work computer and they pop up in the side bar automatically and it's spoiled a lot for me. I just don't want them to pop up in the sidebar and I want an option to hide them.

I’m writing to request a simple but impactful feature: the ability to hide or disable podcast comments.

I use Spotify to engage with meaningful content, learn, and unwind. Unfortunately, the comments section often detracts from that experience. It’s frequently filled with spoilers, off-topic chatter, or negativity that adds little value to the content itself.

A toggle to turn off comments—whether on a per-episode, per-podcast, or account-wide basis—would be a huge quality-of-life improvement for listeners who prefer a cleaner, more focused experience.

I know I’m not the only one who feels this way. Many users would appreciate the option to opt out of commentary and just enjoy the content. Please consider adding this as a setting.
