Proposal: Enable a Personal AI Chatbot for Spotify Users
As a Spotify user today (March 2026), I can only create playlists using prompts within the app. However, Spotify already holds deep insights about my listening habits — insights that are only surfaced once a year through Spotify Wrapped.
I’m requesting access to a dedicated Spotify AI chatbot that lets me actively explore and interact with my personal listening data in real time.
Below are examples of questions I want to be able to ask my Spotify AI:
- Who have I listened to the most in the last 10 days?
- What are my top 13 albums of all time / this year / this month?
- Create a playlist with new artists and songs I haven’t heard before, based on my mood and listening style from the summer of 2019.
Spotify already has all the necessary data to make this possible — data that powers Wrapped, Daily Mixes, Discover Weekly, and other personalized features. By opening this data through a conversational AI, Spotify would:
- Increase user engagement and time spent on the platform
- Strengthen the connection between users and their listening history
- Boost discovery of new artists and songs
- Offer a unique and industry‑leading personalization feature
Therefore, I am asking for Spotify to introduce a full conversational AI mode where users can freely chat with their data, generate insights, and create playlists in more intuitive, creative ways.
Spotify already performs “magic” once a year — now let us access that magic every day. If not for everybody this could be included in Premium subscription.
