[Playlists] Play multiple selected Playlists

Sometimes I'm getting tired of listening to a specific playlist or style, so I want to listen to a mix of playlists.
It would be great to have a function to select multiple playlists to play.

Hey folks,

Thanks for coming to the Community, and adding your vote to this idea!

After speaking to the right teams, we're keeping this idea as 'Not Right Now', as it isn't something we have any immediate plans to implement. We appreciate you sharing your thoughts.

If we do have any new info to share, rest assured we'll check back in here with a new status.

Thanks.

I’d love a feature that lets us combine multiple playlists into a single playback queue, where:

• Each playlist can be set to either shuffle or play in order

• The order of playlists themselves can also be shuffled or fixed

This would allow scenarios like:

• Playlist A (a classical suite) plays in order

• Playlist B (favorite pop songs) plays shuffled

• Playlist C (instrumentals) plays in order

…and these playlists are shuffled each time I listen, giving variety without losing structure.

Why this matters:

Sometimes I want a controlled experience with certain songs (like suites or concept albums), while other times I want variety. This feature would let me set that up ahead of time — no manual switching or editing needed.

Please consider adding a way to queue multiple playlists with individual playback settings, and control over playlist sequencing itself.

Any updates? Seems like a small effort but a quite useful feature!

There are features that are close to this but not quite the way I think it should work.

You should be able to click a button for example 'Multiple Playlist' then highlight which of your OWN playlists you want to shuffle. It would then temporarily merge them and shuffle. Once the session is done, it then just goes back to normal and you have your playlists separate again.

There are so many times where I'm feeling like listening to maybe liquid D&B but I also want to listen to some garage. There isn't a convenient way to do this without making an entire new playlist.

Hi conoralleyne

It is possible but complicated

What you're going to do is press play from outside a folder, containing folders, containing playlists or copies thereof. This can only be done using the DESKTOP APP. Once you have it playing switch to shuffle. You can then switch devices to your mobile. You can stop playing in your mobile and close the app. When you restart Spotify on your mobile, just press the play button and your shuffle will continue. To reshuffle, you will take off shuffle, advance one song, then put back onto shuffle. This will reset the cue. Which will stay the same until you repeat that process.

I told you it was complicated, but it takes your Spotify experience to a whole new level. to copy BLD.pngCopy done BLD.png

You can keep playing on shuffle randomly across multiple playlists because you pressed play from outside the folder that only has folders inside it. You can keep it going on your mobile until you use your mobile to play something else. At which point you have to restart from your desktop APP.

Please note you have to reset the shuffle from time to time to prevent the same queue from being repeated.

It would also be cool if you could select "multiple artists" and shuffle your liked songs of the selected multiple artists.

Hi conoralleyne

Spotify has officially said no to this request. They have merged this idea with another from 2019. This status is listed as 'Not Right Now' which means you have to hack Spotify the get what you want. Copying playlists is the only way to make this happen, Whether you want one massive playlist on shuffle. Or to attempt playing from outside a folder as I suggested.

There will be no button coming for this. Naughty Spotify
