[Playlists] Public Playlist Folders

Hi!  

I've seen this idea being thrown around before but often closed/inactive, so I thought I'd give it another go. (see here)

The folders feature has been around for quite some time now, and I love the idea of being able to organise my playlists as I do have more than 80 saved (lol).

However, having the folders public to followers would:

1. improve the look of user profiles' playlist tab 

• De-clutter the playlist tabs by being able to group/organise them

2. help followers find playlists better and easier

• allows users to make more public playlists as it no longer gets lost in the public playlists tab
• allows users to highlight their current/most popular playlists

This often gets turned down due to lack of likes/votes, so make sure you show so we can finally grab Spotify team's attention and make folders go public! 🙂

I voted on this a while ago and recently i’ve really been wanting it again! it would be great if a photo could be added similar to the way you can upload a photo for a playlist!!

SPOTIFY! START ACTUALLY LISTENING TO USERS FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIFE!

I know it's part of guidelines but when the moderators close ALL of the recent ideas similar to this one and just direct the poster to this idea it just shuts other people down. This brilliant idea is from 3 1/2 YEARS AGO and it finally got sent to Spotify's internal teams almost 9 MONTHS AGO so why is there no update on this feature yet? It actually frustrates me so much. Can y'all imagine if Spotify saw an idea and implemented it within a month ... seeing as they are a GIGANTIC company but don't care about what users think? 

Spotify if you're seeing this for some reason, your entire user experience is a joke. You took over 10 years to implement lyrics, something people have been talking about for LIFETIMES. The simplest features or tweaks take months or years to be implemented. How does that make ANY sense??

Make folders go public!!

I have over 300+ playlists and my girlfriend often wishes she could see them all! Make it happen, cmon it will be awesome!

Hello!

I've seen this idea (See here ) of making the folders public, but I haven't seen any ideas of being able to download public folders.

The folders features are a great idea; I love the idea of making an encyclopedia. I currently have 343 playlists, and that would be very tedious for someone to download as you could imagine. By making the folders public and being able to download the entire folder - it would be a lot less tedious.

Let us hope that this gets enough attention that we can download the whole file at once rather than every playlist if folders do become public! (:

Honestly, it was an absolutely terrible design feature to introduce folders without even allowing users the option of making their folders public. Now we are almost 4 years since this idea was proposed and still no option to make them public..... that's just embarrassing from Spotify. It is such an obviously good idea but what annoys me the most is that it's such an easy fix! It shouldn't take almost 4 years to add this feature. Hire me for one day Spotify and I can code the feature myself in a few hours.
