[Playlists] Solution to false/abusive reporting

Whenever someone reports a playlist - the title and cover art are removed immediately. This is often abused to hurt record labels and playlist curators. After contacting support - the account of someone who abused this system gets taken down. This person then creates another email and free Spotify account and repeats the process.

There is a simple solution to the problem - enable reporting feature only after 10 hours of music/podcasts were streamed using the account. It won't change the experience for a normal user but makes copyright abuse impractical. It's cheap and easy to implement and would stop 95% of false claims.

Thank you for your consideration.

Hi,

You're right.

Those reports are unlimited because it's the easiest way to Spotify to do it, like you said. Today my most followed playlist is, again, targeted. I can't have one single day without reports. Yesterday it was about 60, and that because I don't write everytime the name.

It's unbelievable it still happen.

It's so frustrating.

Bots are still spamming

coolpanama

A few days ago it was **bleep** again, with 81 false reports in one day. A record for us. The freaking bots are at it again.

It's impossible to keep the playlist online but only with an automated system. And I lack experience in that area.

It's incredible that Spotify let's this happen to us. I'm thinking about some kind of compensation for the troubled time and terror they let happen to us.

And in the mean time Spotify does ... NOTHING !!! Nothing at all. It seems like they just don't care. Or are they too busy with the fake streams, which costs them money?

Spotify : replace this BROKEN report system with one that eliminates abusers, bots and bullies.

Hello again spotify,
I am here again. Bots are not stopping to target my playlists.
Thank you for fixing my previous problem of playlists being report abused by Bots.
Please help me with more playlists. 12  reported so far. This is urgent.
This is a mistake. The person reporting is abusing report button. Please protect your users from these harassment.
Same thing he reported my playlists for over 200x. And i stopped counting. This is causing me a lot of stress.
I think they are using Bots. They are reporting my playlist every 5 mins after I updated? How is that humanly possible?
I hope you can help solve this issue. We dont deserve to be harassed. Please help

Hello I am sending a warning to everyone that have this same problem. Last week Spotify decided to disable my playlist editing ability on my whole account.

I've been getting falsely reported more than 20 times a day, but the day came and I got a weird looking report(see picture below) , it looked nothing like the usual report but I was used to getting reports so I decided to ignore it and just readd my playlist parts back. Boom, second mail came in and they told me because this is a second time someone is reporting my playlist they decided to revoke my ability to edit all playlists on my account...

I sent them over 20 mails, on bunch of different mail addresses and from different addresses, they refuse to get back to me and now they disabled my account where I had 4 successful playlist with over 10k followers... Had that account for almost 2 years... Be careful yall it's a cold world we live in.

Please take action on those bots.

Sptfy helper - your playlist includes unlicensed remixes of tracks (the slowed versions). So in this case spotify is technically correct

I had what? Why are you so quick to judge when you have no idea what you are talking about? I have no clue what you are talking about, I don't have slowed songs on my playlist, the playlist that got me that restriction is "Donda - Kanye West" also they told me my title/description/image was copyright claimed not the content that was on my playlist. Curators (playlist editors) can add whatever song they want to their playlist no matter if it's a leak or not, we are not in a possession of those songs, nor do we distribute them, and no you can not be banned for content of other people that you added on your playlist.

Please think about what you say before you say it. Thanks

Hi,

In the main time, I deleted quite all the images of my playlists.

Their name is an other issue, since my reported playlists are based from the game GTA V. So I use the name of the radio. But, until they remove all the playlists similar to mine, I will use the name of the radio stations. Since the beginning they did not ban or removed a single playlist of my profile.

But you know what? Probably it is better this way. It's too much problems for a few followers when Spotify has 100 millions subscribers.

Those reports happen mostly because we live in a world of jealous, mean,  vengeful people.
