Select and organize multiple Playlists

This is a direct copy of this idea which was originally posted 2 years ago.  I wasn't a user then, and this idea has since been made inactive, so I'm resurrecting it.  Even just a shift-select on the desktop app would help immeasurably.  Here's the original idea:

"I am looking for easy ways to organize my library.

I want to do some housekeeping in my library, but I find the current system of dragging and dropping individual playlists is too time consuming when the number of playlists reach this high.

First of all, there should be a way to select multiple playlists at once and be able to handle multiple playlists the same way as I can handle single playlist (ability to drag and drop, and rightclick w/ a special dropdown menu for multiple selected items).

Ctrl-clicking, shift-clicking and shift+arrowkeys would help greatly.

[Edit] This idea is nearing its 2 year anniversary of no official recognition. Good times! 🙂

As a sidenote my Spotify library now consists of 1296 playlists."

Yeah, I came here assuming there was a way to do this. I usually listen to my music offline (because my connections are often spotty/throttled/capped), and whenever I reconnect and my offline playlists get cleared I have to click each one (there are 10-15) and select available offline, it gets really frustrating especially if I have to do it on multiple devices.

I feel like a prisoner inside this app.  As black-bamboo states, these are BASIC FUNCTIONS.  I want to manage my Spotify library like I manage my iTunes library, or even like an excel spreadsheet.  Please IMPROVE library, song, and playlist managability!

I stopped caring. This is just stupid. Years waiting for this basic
feature. Spotify you suck big time, and this forum is a lie

That's why I canceled my premium account months ago.

As a software engineer I would feel ashamed to leave such a basic feature.

And yes, this board is a joke. Otherwise a developer would have posted at least a statement why it seems to be so complicated to implement such a basic function.

It's ludicrous not to have the basic ability to select MUTIPLE playlists and MOVE them around to new folders. It is so basic, it almost seems intentional of Spotify not to give users more control over playlists....

Idea has 200 "Kudos."

FIX THIS.

SJL1414

This would be a great idea.

Almost a year Spotify friends since this has been marked as good idea. My music library is WAY OUT OF CONTROL. This fix would enable the beautiful use case of having a folder with a 100 or more albums for a particular genre or feel of your choosing...then you can hit shuffle and the clouds part and the angels sing. It would be heaven if this fix became real.

Please share widely to keep the kudos coming as this simple fix would be SO MUCH MORE VALUABLE than wasting time moving the navigation bar from right to the bottom as has been done in the last Android update (these kinds of dumb things are a result of poorly managed people with too much time on their hands). Spend your resources more wisely Spotify like fixing this simple request. Don't waste energy changing the look and feel every few months since no one really cares except your incompetent design managers. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
