Update for lyrics

For songs that have lyrics available but are inaccurate, or even just grammatically incorrect, I propose users should have either the ability to create custom lyrics for themselves, or patch lyrics for everyone else to see. Like Wiki sites, it should go through revision, of course, but I believe this could be a great way for the Spotify community to be more involved with their interests. This idea is for any song, but could be beneficial for new releases as well, as it could be a way for lyrics to appear as available sooner than they do now.

I wholeheartedly agree. Some of my favorite songs don't have the lyrics or lyrics that are synced.

I don't see the sense in any of this.

Lyrics are delivered by Musixmatch, and the reason the lyrics are incorrect or inaccurate is because we're only human, and some contributors like to disobey the guidelines, but I don't think there should be a feature to add your own. If you want to fix the lyrics, join the Musixmatch Community Slack and request them to be fixed if they were added by an active specialist, and become a curator to get access to their Curator Slack workspace to correct lyrics that are locked by curators and ex-specialists.
