WE NEED PURE SHUFFLE!

As many would have noticed, shuffle mode is not 100% random, as it depends on the popularity of the song, your last listen.

But I believe shuffle mode should be fully random, and then make a new setting called "enhanced shuffle" with those variables.

I absolutely love this app, but the one thing that's keeping it from being my favorite streaming service is this shuffle feature that only plays popular, and replayed songs. it infuriates me that the algorithm doesn't purely represent my/our music, and I desire to just turn off the app when songs constantly repeat.

So my assumption is that music also gets pushed to listeners. And that this is what we are all experiencing. And that this is part of how spotify also creates part of their financial business. My assumption is that it might be a business decision rather than a technical decision not to implement this idea. 🤔

Such a super-biased algorithm for popular songs. I have nearly all my friends complaining and switching to a different music app

Even just something that you can select to play the least played music from your playlists would be good. I love to listen to a wide range of music but the shuffle algorithms just keep pushing a really narrow selection of tracks.

This is a MUST, If I press shuffle, I want it to shuffle the playlist entirely, no favoritism for any popular songs.

Really need this feature! I've got so much variety in my Liked Songs but Spotify makes it seem like I listen to one type of music! No need to spend tons of dev on AI's when you have quick wins like this that you can implement!

At least have the option for multiple shuffle algorithms, so if someone likes the "seamless" shuffle, they can use that, but if someone wants true random, they can have that too. We have a yearly gathering with our friends, for which we make gigantic playlists where everyone contributes a couple of songs, so we kind of want to hear the whole thing evenly spread out between everyone's genres and songs, but the current algorithm makes sure that a lot of songs will never be heard, and the rest will be played in hour long genre blocks which gets annoying fast. I personally don't ever want a seamless experience. I want variety. I also don't want the same 20 songs being preferred every time I press shuffle play. Please add an option for a non-seamless, non-song-biased algorithm. This thread is over 2 years old and you even marked it as a "good suggestion". Then listen to the good suggestion.
