[Your Library] Keep lyrics up at all times

I like having the lyrics accessible, and having to swipe up and click lyrics is a pain. Instead of the album cover, it would be awesome to have the option to have the lyrics there instead!

I’d really love to see this feature too, especially with one specific enhancement in mind:

I’m on a Samsung Galaxy S23 and I use the lyrics view a lot — particularly while cooking or doing chores. It would be amazing if the lyrics view could stay active across songs, without me having to manually tap it again for each track.

For example, when playing from a playlist like Spotify Karaoke Mix or any playlist where I know all songs have lyrics, it would be perfect to just enable lyrics once and have them persist automatically as the songs change. This feature would drastically enhance hands-free and singalong-friendly experience.

I think it's a small UX change, but it carries a big quality-of-life improvement for many users who love the lyrics feature.

Feature refinement idea:
There could be a toggle either in the lyrics view itself (like “Keep lyrics open”) or in the app settings. If enabled, Spotify would auto-show lyrics for each new track during playback—only when lyrics are available, of course. This would make the whole singalong experience much smoother and more hands-free.

Would love to see this considered as part of the fullscreen lyrics view improvements!

Edit: I am on Android Version 9.0.46.496

Can we please add a feature that allows the option to toggle lyrics? If I'm listening to music and want sing along, I don't want to have to click the expand button on the lyrics everytime a new song begins to play! Thank you!

Usually, I used to have the lyrics fullscreen without it turning off, but now it has changed (on Android at least), and I can't see an entire song without touching the screen to keep it from turning off. I hope I'm not the only one, because it's very annoying.

It’s 2025, let’s get a toggle to keep the lyrics page up the whole time.

5 years and this still isn’t a thing….

Spotify is such a joke, why can’t we have a lyric mode on a damn music app?

Time’s up. I’m cancelling and making the switch and will exercise my sales acumen on those around me to do the same. I would consider this “tip of the iceberg” to how things are ran in Spotify. I’m only sorry to the artists that benefit from my Spotify usage but hope you’ll make it back in Apple Music. May your competition eat you, Spotify.

Hello,

When I’m on lyrics feature of spotify. Can you guys please replace or add this feature or programming where stay it in the lyrics mode consistently after a song? Currently, it goes back to its picture based when it’s the next song or previously, which is annoying as i have to click 3 buttons to go back to lyrics mode again.

Do it like the ios app one. Thanks!

Best regards,

When lyrics are fullscreen in mobile Spotify, skipping a song will return to the main page of the song (the one with controls). I feel like the mobile version should copy the desktop version in terms of lyrics

Monkeys paw has curled and now the desktop app is like the mobile app, why are they going backwards?
