[iOS] Landscape mode on iPhone

Hello folks!

Since we just released "Landscape Mode on Android" and we marked the idea as "implemented", we wanted it to be fair with iPhone users (half of the comments were supporting Android half iPhone) so we have created this idea just for you iPhone users!

We have also added half of the kudos to be entirely fair.

Give it some kudos if you want to see this implemented.

8 years later and collectively over $15k from people (half that wanted this feature implemented calculated as  subscribers) and still cant implement this simple feature. Cmon Spotify! how hard would it be to port this to iOS?

What the?? They implemented landscape mode on Android, after massive user feedback but somehow can't do it on iOS? That makes very little sense. The devices are used for exactly the same use cases. If you did one, you should obviously do the other.

it’s really hard since apple changed the place for the headphones… or even if we need to keep it charging and try to use the lyrics for  singing while listening

Guys, I started subscribing to this topic 5 years ago.  Today is the first time I've ever checked back in on it.  Amazed by your support and all I can say is either we make spotify listen now, or it'll never happen.

It will never happen and THAT is why I switched to Apple Music. After five years if Spotify won’t change it with this amount of pleading from subscribers, they never will.

Waiting for the implementation of landscape mode for iOS since 2013 is the perfect example of laziness.

Sorry but your consideration for your clients is miserable, to say the least, even such a basic feature as this one is completely disregarded by your company.

You must be stripped down from your streaming monopoly, maybe then you'll start to be more proactive and conscious about your customer's needs.

on Android and iPad it works but why it’s not possible for the iPhone

Yeah, it would be one thing - a bit strange, but understandable - to not have landscape on any device. But to do it on one mobile OS but not the other just seems really odd, like they are being wilfully obtuse.
