Podcast plays previous episode instead of the next

Hello everyone,

We've received reports that people been having issues with auto playing podcast episodes from oldest to newest. Podcast plays previous episode instead of the next one.

Hey folks,

We've tested this on our and can confirm that the issue has been resolved, so we'll set this one to Fixed.

If you're still having trouble, make sure to post a new thread in the relevant help board here.

Thanks!

Hello!

I was wondering if I was the only on experiencing this issue. Hate to say I'm happy to see I'm not alone.

I am an avid podcast listener. I listen to 9-10 shows per week and am always looking for more to add to the rotation. The laptop with the issue is my work laptop. I work from home 3 out of the 5 days a week and enjoy having my volume up, with my office window open, sipping coffee, and just vibing. Unfortunately, that "vibe" has been disrupted these last few months as I am having to listen to multiple episode stories backwards and am completely lost trying to stay up on the info I just heard from the end of the story as I am listening to the middle of the story after just hearing the end of the story. (was that hard to follow? Because that's how listening to podcasts are right now on the Windows App).

I hope this get resolved soon as I have been with Spotify since 2013 and do NOT want to switch, but if this issue is something that won't/can't be fixed, I will be canceling my subscription and moving to iHeartRadio.

I have not noticed the issue on my iPhone 12 Pro Max or my MacBook, but my Gateway laptop is having this issue.

Been having this issues on my Macbook Pro for some time now. It is running Big Sur 11.6.5 and Spotify for macOS (Intel) 1.1.85.895.g2a71e1b8

Nearly three months later and somehow the problem with podcast queues has gotten worse!  Much worse!  In addition to skipping to the previous episode instead of the next episode, the list of episodes randomly scrolls itself up several episodes.  So far that I have to scroll A LOT and wait for the list to load additional episodes.  So now not only do I have to go back to the damn app every time an episode ends to play the episode I actually want it to play, I have to scroll and figure out which fricking episode I want to play in the first place.  This is time consuming, annoying, stupid as **bleep** and honestly, this is standing on my last damn nerve.  I'm about one misclick away from cancelling everything and blasting Spotify on twitter.

Hey There,

Any news on a fix? Seems to be taking a long time!

Pretty annoying.

Hey there. I have the same issue here on both my Mac machines. As far as I can tell, it only happens on the desktop app. It doesn't happen on my android app. Whenever I want to see multiple episodes on a row, in the order I want, I use my Android app.
