Queue ignores genre filters in Liked Songs

Hey,

We're getting reports that filtering the Liked Songs playlist by genre/mood does not affect the queued songs. When users are filtering their Liked Songs playlist to a certain genre/mood and they play a track, the queue will still have other songs from the playlist which aren't part of the genre filter.

Chiming in to bring some clarity on this 🙂
This Ongoing Issue thread was about filtering the Liked Songs playlist by genre/mood not affecting the queued songs. If the filters are overall missing on your end, this would be a separate issue and you can post about it in the Help section of the forum.

 

Note that with this fix we can only guarantee functionality natively, so the abovementioned statement applies to issues with the playback via Sonos or other speakers as well - for these and other issues outside of the scope of this thread, please post in the Help boards.

Im having this same issue, I looked around and I tried doing a clean uninstall, deleting my cache, and none of it worked. I really don’t know what changed but this problem only happened recently.

Love the ability to filter songs based on the genre/feel of the song. Although playing liked songs using this doesn’t seem to be working unless you make a playlist of the filtered songs. Another feature to add would be filtering using multiple keywords. For instance, electronic and then a secondary filter for mellow or upbeat. 
this would be great for people with a large liked song folder to find forgotten music or get that vibe they’re looking for more easily in a playlist

I am using this on iPhone 14 and then newest updated version of Spotify and newest iPhone iOS update too 

This is happening to me too. I tried to delete the app and reinstall it dosnt work.

Just happened to me today. I was able to use the filter setting in my Liked Songs and the queue was working just fine and then no it's not working at all. Queue full of a song a song genre that is not what I picked. I hope this gets fixed soon, I pay for a premium and many issues have been happening as of recently with Spotify. It's not ok.

@sopemina Thats how I feel, Spotify is way too expensive to be getting glitches like this.

My Question or Issue: 

when I go to shuffle my liked songs and choose a genre, it shuffles all my playlist and not the genre that I have chose.

I have an even bigger problem with the filters on liked Playlist. It's not even playing the bottom half of my songs on any filter. I can click songs all the way down until it stops and anything bellow that point doesn't play.

I can play songs freely by choice from all playlists except for my liked playlist. When i go to my liked playlist and pick a genre or type of song i want, i cant click on a song. It will play nothing, and if i do manage to get it to play, it will play songs that arent from the genre i picked to play songs from. I have tried logging out, and i have tried uninstalling. Nothings works.
