Queue ignores genre filters in Liked Songs

Hey,

We're getting reports that filtering the Liked Songs playlist by genre/mood does not affect the queued songs. When users are filtering their Liked Songs playlist to a certain genre/mood and they play a track, the queue will still have other songs from the playlist which aren't part of the genre filter.

Chiming in to bring some clarity on this 🙂
This Ongoing Issue thread was about filtering the Liked Songs playlist by genre/mood not affecting the queued songs. If the filters are overall missing on your end, this would be a separate issue and you can post about it in the Help section of the forum.

Note that with this fix we can only guarantee functionality natively, so the abovementioned statement applies to issues with the playback via Sonos or other speakers as well - for these and other issues outside of the scope of this thread, please post in the Help boards.

It is really beginning to **bleep** me off because it was NOT always like this. They need to solve the problem and turn it back as soon as possible, especially for the price that we are paying. We deserve to get all of the benefits, and they better all work accordingly. This has to happen at the worst time too, quite literally in the middle of me revamping my playlist. Oh my **bleep**.

This has broken this feature on my iPhone as well and made it so if I scroll far down on my Liked playlist and pick a song added a while back, it just doesn't play, unless I add it to my Queue.

Originally I thought it might be my Spotify and I did all the below:

- Cleared Cache

- Deleted all music off my phone and re-downloaded

- Deleted Spotify and re-downloaded

But looks like I am not the only person having this issue sadly, hopefully the below features will be fixed soon:

- Filtering Liked Playlists

- Playing songs further down Liked Playlist

- Clicking on Songs and it not taking nearly 3-4 seconds to change

Can select genre on liked songs and shows related songs as expected but plays from full playlist.

That's exactly what is happening, it filters the Liked Songs and then it
just plays from all Songs.

For example: If I select Electronic, it will play the first song I select
and then the next one will be Hip Hop which isn't included.

My Question or Issue

Same issues as others. Clicked on "Liked songs" playlist, used the genre/mood filter for "Folk", plays one song then plays whatever is in my total "Liked songs" playlist I.E heavy metal, edm, Rasta, anime, etc. Obviously it should be sticking within the "Folk" filter.

My Question or Issue

So when I go into my liked songs and I filter it by genre like Rap or Country etc. In the past it would just play the songs from that filter and only so if I wanted to listen to country I’d just filter it and play it and it would only play country. But now it’s not doing that. I can still filter but when I play it it’ll play everything in my liked songs and not just the filtered genre. So wondering if there’s an issue around that or if it’s just changed.

Same here y’all. Also, since this problem began, Spotify has been slower. When I go to click on any song, it will take about 1.5 seconds to respond to my input.

I'm glad someone else has reported the slow down, its insane how broken the
app is

Supposedly this is a feature from Spotify. We can vote for it on the
community but most people want to keep the feature.
