Recently played artists section not updating

We've been seeing reports from users that the recently played artists on their profile are not updating, while recently played in listening history is working as expected.

Same here for 2 days, I contacted the Support they didn't gave me clear asnwers. There answer was: Thanks for your feedback, we always updating our App. Thankx for your Feedback??? It;'s a Problem Not a feedback, Updating? I am waiting for a solution for 2 days.

I would have thought they could have fixed this quickly… bug or not, it’s a standard offering that has gone wrong. If it’s working on “listening history”, why isn’t it working on “recently played artists”? Surely this is just push data that “recently played artists” captures from “listening history”… just showing the artists name. Don’t know why it’s so complicated.

I absolutely agree. Currently efforts with support from spotify is slow and
unsuccessful but they at least haven't given up and are consistently
messaging me back.

They’ve just said to me that the tech team are looking into it and hope to fix it soon. No more updates. What have they told you?

This is so frustrating. So many people have posted on this forum and across other forums online that they’re having this issue, and we keep getting the same run around from Spotify: is private listening turned on (no, it is not) and have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app (yes I have). Neither of those things are the issue here. I don’t understand why you will not acknowledge that this is an issue.

I’ve had Spotify for almost a decade and this has definitely been an issue in the past, it happens about once every 6 months or so, but in the past it hasn’t taken this long to resolve (it usually doesn’t last more than 12 hours) and in the past it wasn’t accompanied by that weird glitch many of us experienced yesterday where a bunch of random artists that had not been recently listened to, were on our recently listened to list.

Now also for me recently played artists are slowly (very slowly) appearing with a big delay... better than nothing i guess, but it should be fixed ASAP

Songs I played yesterday evening and late afternoon today are still not showing for me… I hope it is a quick fix (although it’s been nearly 2 days for me already). It’s annoying.

Were those times it happened before solved with an update (of the app) or was it fixed in the back-end?

I think they’re changing the app and this is “testing” to see if people will complain. There is a way to chat with them.
