Unable to start the Spotify app in Volvo Sensus

Hey everyone,

 

We're receiving reports about the Spotify app being stuck on the loading screen on the Volvo Sensus infotainment system.

We’re happy to say that this should now be fixed for everyone! Just make sure your app is updated to the latest version.

The problem with the images took ages to solve, hope this goes faster… Same problem on the 2024 XC40

Same for me in my Volvo S90.

Hope they can sort it out quickly.

Same here in Greece....I tried uninstall/install, factory settings, nothing. I connected through mobile hotspot and monitored the data...seems that it doesn't download a bit...it's hope for a fast fix because it's already 2 days

Same here with my Volvo XC40 😞 I was driving myself nuts trying to figure out what was wrong. I'm glad to see that I am not the only one with this problem, I hope whatever the problem is they can resolve it soon.

I'm having the same problem with my 2021 XC90 since this weekend. To make things worse, i uninstalled the app and when looking to reinstall it, it no longer shows on the app store. I'm thinking that they either took it down until it's fixed or deprecated it for good. Bummer!

Guys, just connect to the spotify app and control it from the phone app after. It's not as functional but it works and you still get good sound (much better than bluetooth or cable connection through android carplay).

I'm just happy I am not alone in this nonsense, still not working but at least I can share the pain. 2018 v90cc, and I thought it was something my kid did 😉

I have the same problem, XC40 2020. Contacted Volvo support and they didn’t know what could be wrong. The guy I talked to thought that maybe Spotify no longer supports the app. He said he was going to investigate further. I then contacted Spotify support and they said they still support Sensus so maybe the problem lays with my car and suggested me to contact Volvo again….
