macOS Podcast speed adjustment button unresponsive in full screen mode. When playing a podcast and maximizing the video to full screen, the speed adjustment button does not work. It registers hover and click but I have to exit full screen to adjust the speed. It would also be nice to have a working button in the mini player imho.

Hey @InSasquatchCountry,
Thank you for your patience.
We received some important info from the relevant teams and they've confirmed this is currently a test due to the recent changes to the fullscreen/cinema mode. We're not sure how long this could take, so at the moment, we'd recommend having your Spotify app updated so you don't miss any future improvements coming your way.
We appreciate the time you took to report this behavior. If anything else comes up, the Community will be here for you.
Hey @InSasquatchCountry,
Thanks for your report!
We've forwarded it to the relevant team at Spotify for further review and we'll let you know in this thread once we have news to share.
Regarding your feedback about the mini player, we'd suggest submitting it as an idea here if you think that other users would support it.
Cheers,

Speed change does work in cinema mode, just not full screen video mode. I'd put my money on the scrollable speed menu is actually opening behind the video somehow in a way that may be unique on macOS as to how they implement 'fullscreen' vs 'fullscreen video'. It occurred to me that the miniplayer may also suffer from this issue which is why it's not visible on say a fullscreen safari window. The Internet archive's video player, jwplayer, supports macs PiP across full screen apps. Another mac app that can sit atop full screened apps is Numi. Funny enough its doesn't handle Split View well as it keep pushing my focus to the desktop and messes with the way the pane slider renders as you can see behind the two apps to the wallpaper behind it. Proving that there is at least some conceptual 'render-space' behind. I also noticed the miniplayer cannot be closed with cmd + w nor take up a fullscreen pane like Numi can.
edit: 02:14AM
I made a spotify miniplayer take up the right half of my desktop and then quickly closed the righthand pane. I did not see it so that might kill some aspect of my initial theory.

I don't know if the issue was resolved before or after my last reply, but it seems to no longer be an issue.
👍 thanks guys
